Country's Auto & Trailer Sales ripoff Selling LEMONS Richburg South Carolina
On Friday, March 31, 2005, I purchased an as-is vehicle from Country's Auto & Trailer Sales, Inc. I signed a form indicating the condition of this vehicle, stating that it was NOT wrecked or broken. However, TWO HOURS after purchasing the car, it broke down on side of the rode. I had the car towed back to the company. Now, they will neither return my money or fix the vehicle. Now, I am out of $1500 with NOTHING to show for it!!!!

Now, I am out of $1500 with NOTHING to show for it!!!!" When you buy a vehicle "as is", you assume all the risk and the seller is off the hook as soon as you put the key in the ignition. That's why it is important to check out the car at your own mechanic before you purchase it. If the car dies on the way to your mechanic, don't buy it. If teh seller won't let your mechanic inspect the car, don't buy it. If the seller won't guarantee the car will make it past the sidewalk onto the road, don't buy it. I read lots of consumer complaints on these boards and a simple attitude of skepticism for what a seller claims to offer (as opposed to what guarantees you recieve in writing) and a simple belief that "I am about to get screwed, how can I prevent it?" would prevent a lot of the problems from ever happening.
