By now, I realize that when you have too little money to pay all of our bills for the month, the first thing we pay is the mtg. After having my home nearly foreclosed on, I realized that it was best for me to sell my furniture and sleep on the floor (which I did) then it was to miss a mtg payment - I could replace the furniture at a later date, however, I could not easily get into another home loan. IN fact, once a you are foreclosed on a home, it will be quite difficult to find a lender again in the future with that on your credit history. So, please folks, do what you have to do to make the mtg payment so that this nightmare does not happen to you.

If you were that late with any mortgage company, you would've been in big trouble, no matter who it is. IF you work on a commission basis, you should know that you need to have a hefty savings account available when times are tough. Even though Countrywide is scum, and from yours and other stories, incompetent to say the least, you really cannot lay blame on them for this. Any lender will foreclose on you if you don't make your payments...
