Countrywide Homeloans Countrywide damaging customer credit and refusing to disclose information. LET'S ALL FILE A CLASS ACTION ripoff Simi Valley California
We are really appalled to see how many of us have complained about Countrywide and how much they can get away with.
It is quite shocking that they are a Fortune 500 company and still considered one of the most admired company in the US!! The company will certainly pay millions in damages if we combine our efforts and file for a class action.
Here is our story:
We originally contracted our mortgage with "Option One" mortgage company and all went well.
In June 2005, we were notified that our mortgage was transferred to Countrywide. Problems began to arise as Countrywide was not sending paper statements (despite us confirming our address both in writing and by phone on several occasions) and pressuring us to pay our monthly payment at an earlier date (1st of the month versus 26th of the month).
We suspect them of consumer fraud and hidden fees (a practice they are well known for)which they could better hide if we had no written evidence.
Despite our many mailings, countrywide refused to give us any information about our account, send statements, respect our agreements with prior contractor or consolidate our mortgages.
This did not prevent their nasty callers to harass us night and day for payments either.
Countrywide is now preventing us from contracting with an other company as they blocked our line of credit.
We have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, and one with the district court in Rockville, MD. We also sent copies of our last mailings to them to the Montgomery County Division of Consumer Affairs in Maryland and encourage those of you who have been ripped off to file as many official complaints as possible. The more we do, the less they can continue to ignore us.
Countrywide need their place among the nation's top merchant's of fame.
