As of 11/20 I'm finally out but at what cost? I delivered my monday morning load like a good slave should. Then proceded to Columbus Term. Not arguing and was smart enough to have a backup plan, they wanted me to goto Columbus Term and that it. I was not allowed to go home to mt my stuff nothing. So i had a friend come from Pittsburgh to Columbus to get me and my stuff.I msg dispatch told them fine thanks for the effort!!! Told them i was going to the TA in Hebron,OH to meet with friend and remove my items.I was told not to straight to Term no further.So i called my friend and had him meet me on west side of town and we will do swap there. Once everything was removed i made sure trk was cleaned out(no trash) and took it to the Term. Once there the nitemare continued.Guard wanted a control number to drop trk and trl off.I told him that i had none that i was quiting.He started become a total @ssh**e and told me i needed to back out of drive and go somewhere else till i got a control number. So i called dispatch and told them i needed a number."I cant give u a number u dont work for us anymore".I stated i needed a control number or trk and trl will be left in the drive to the guard shack.Remember i have tried everything up till now to work with company.After a min or 2 he finally gave me a number. I sais THX and hung up. I notified shop of any repairs it needed,(that hadnt been dont when i got the trk)Turned keys in and proceded back to the trk to take pics of the trk to show if any damage was done they couldnt get me on. Now a few weeks ago i hit a deer on I95 south of Dunn,NC and did minor damage to the bumper.(just dented it in a bit)So i doctumented it with the accident pack i had at the time and reported as i was supposed to. So just to cover my @$$ i took pics with my cell phone camera and they turned out really well. I took pics of all sides and from different angles. They will not be making any claims of further damages to trk i have PROOF!!! As of now im applying for another company and trying to regain the respect i lost for working for suck a PIECE of *&*& company. P.S. Dave Parker i hope realize someday that the ppl working for u are total morons and u correct the problems the company has.If not then i hope u go bankrupt with all the claims ur ur so called precious drivers file against u and the company. Amanda, Give them 2 weeks notice in writing. Be sure to specify that in 2 weeks from the reciept of your letter, you are parking the truck. Therefore, with this known, it is their dispatchers responsibility to get you to the yard in that time to clean out and turn in the truck. No excuses. Tell them that any time during that 2 week period is acceptable to you. Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself, and make a copy for your records. Now, there is no way they can accuse you of abandoning the truck or quitting under load. It is now on them, and any negative DAC/USIS entry is flat out slander, and then you sue them. Done.

My husband and I both work for covenant and have for a year. We started in the reefer div. and got tired of sitting so they put us on a dedicated account (probably the same one you are on). Anyway that got us to stay back in May instead of quiting, but we tried to quit again about a month ago and we were also told that we couldn't quit becuase we were under a load. The reason we tried to quit... we were supposed to be on a dedicated run yet we were sitting for two days waiting on a load. I have no idea how to protect your dac in a situation like this but I would think calling a lawyer would get you an answer. I hope that things work out for you and sorry about you family member. I am going to be posting my own ripoff report after this...

Ok ppl here we go. Nov 19 The day before the moment of trueth. I am currently setting outside Walmrt/Sams DC in Washington Court House,Oh. I got a call early this morning stating i had a family member pass away after 3 yrs battling cancer. I MSG dispatch earlier today to notify them of what happened and ask to be sent home ASAP. Told them i would Del my 15:30 (today)appointment here in Washingtom Crt House,OH.And they could get a repower for Nov20 3:30am Del. I was told they wanted her name,her address,her city and state she died in and the Funeral homes Phone number so they could verify she was dead, then after that i would be given a bus ticket to go home,after taking trk to columbus,oh yard.And was to leave my stuff in trk. Oh yeh by the way i was also demanded to make next and final stop at 3:30am Nov 20 before anything would be done. So here we go i have a family hurt with lose and less than 24hrs to go before my 2 week notice expires and i have a company who cares nothing about there drivers.Dont u think if i pissed them off that much they would want me gone from there company? Or at least u think a company that is supposed to be a strong religion would be a bit more caring for employees. Any one reading this have any complaints toward unfair acts of drivers and wish to file any kind of suit i will stand beside you on this.Also anyone with legal knowledge of protecting my DAC of these threats i have had. Please post comments and any info that could help. All in all it comes back to,is what i said in first post.... I JUST WANT OUT!!!!

Sorry for long winded start. Miscommunication that i spoke of was for example, They give p/u number,Load p/u monday 14:00 , Del Tues 07:00 ,I arrive Sunday 09:00. I check in at 09:10 Sunday. Load of course isnt rdy. So msg dispatch "Load Not RDY left cell number for them to contact me" (btw im in the lot) 14:00 Monday Load not RDY... 15:00 Monday Still not RDY... 17:00 Monday Still not RDY... 18:30 Monday Still not RDY. Notify shipper and dispatch that shipper has my cell and will call to wake me when RDY.Set alarm for 12midnite. Goto bed. Wake 12midnite goto Traffic window to hear load isnt RDY not enough product.Load has been Cancelled. Took guys name Msg dispatch and also called in. Night dispatch spent the next 5 hrs sending me msgs asking why it was cancelled and who told me it was. 05:10 i finally get it thru his head that i have no more info than he has already gotten from me.Finally Bedtime!! 09:00 <- Yes 9am these guys dont work early.Also 4hrs after going to bed. 09:00 Tuesday My dispatch starts with msgs about why i stated the load was cancelled. After hrs of this again i decided i need shower and some real food. Told him to do his job and call and ask shipper why they told me it was cancelled.(could have been nicer but why does it take 10hrs and 2 dispatchers to get this point across)Thats what they told me. 16:00 Tues msg to go back load resched for del thurs morn. 07:00 20:00 Tues Shipper calls me says load is RDY. 20:15 Tues I pickup load and park in back of lot. 05:00 Weds Leave lot to del thurs morn 07:00.I get 150miles from Del Weds around 12noon. Call customer she says yeh go ahead and bring in no need to wait another day. I del and sent macro in stating MT. Dispatch complains right and left that i went over there head and should never done this. Was I Wrong????? After 3 hrs of phone calls and msgs i decide i want out. I cant wait till 11/20 to get out this retarded. Arguement ensues. Im wrong , Im an @ss. I dont know my job. Im worthless. All the above was said to me. Been out here since 4/2001 so im not totally stupid. Was i wrong that u can see??? I was set to quit and mt trk on 11/20 <- 2 week notice. Been threatened with Abandonment and quitting under dispatch. I cant win. I know it sounds childish but .....I just want to go home....Ive had enough....I may drive again but i think after 5 yrs im burnt,maybe - maybe not. Time will tell
