I am here to agree with all the other guys that said CR England is not what they promise. I spend 1.5 weeks in their cdl training school in east chicago, Indiana and I was not impress at all. Like others have said, we have noodles for lunch everyday.

The motel called Hometown Lodge which is owned by CR England was a cheap low down place that had nothing but old bed rooms with two beds, one for you and the other for your roomate. Their yard instuctors could careless about your success. All they do was smoke and joke outside, while students take turn attemping to do back up menuvers.

I strongly believe that one of the female african american instuctor there was just putting in her time and had no intention of training anyone. Even when students had asked for help, they were just told to go and watch other students. What kind of help is that?

I didn't pay $4,000 just to fool around and watch other students. I could go on and on, but you got the picture. With all said and done, I have learn a valuable lesson, which is to do more research before enrolling. I just wish I saw this website before spending $50 for the enrollment fee and a bus ticket to their training school.

The school is a SCAM!!! DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!! They got me down to Cedar Hill Texas with a free bus trip, but quickly get their money back when I had to pay the $100.00 admission fee. Then you are STUCK there with no transportation. The hotel is a sty. It is also in a VERY bad area, so you do not want to walk anywhere; but the only restaurant in the hotel is VERY expensive and the food is gross!!! Rooms are over crowded and dirty.

Over the phone the recruiters make you feel like you will have a jobbut they really just intended to get you down there where they can wrangle you into signing a lease on one of their trucksand once you are there they really pressure you!!! DO NOT SIGN A LEASEGOOGLE CR ENGLAND SCAM / LEASE and just read all of the complaints. They have really hurt and bankrupt a lot of folks!!!

THE SCHOOL IS A BIG CON JOB. (See my experience link below). The second day I was there, I saw a guy with his bags packed and I asked him why he was leaving. He said that he had completed the CDL program and was told that CR England would be sending a truck for him to be a second seat driver (HE DID NOT SIGN A TRUCK LEASE), but that after a week the truck never came for him. He said he had waited another week and called CR England over and over but they would not return his calls. Finally, after the third week of waiting, they told him that he was not even in their system and he needed to leave the hotel. He said this place is a total scam, get out while you can!   I have heard that many who would not sign a lease, were just thrown out of the boarding stable onto the street  in a very bad area with no place to go and no way to get back home. It has been reported that those who would NOT sign a lease were suddenly found to have a dirty drug test, often AFTER they had completed the coursefour weeks later. However, the drug tests are done the first day and the results are available immediately; so CR England at least got their CDL TUITION and INTEREST out of them; but they really just wanted them to sign a lease.

Watch out for their love it or leave it lease offer too. You'll end up working for free for 6 months.

I was at England for a few days. I went to the Salt Lake terminal. That's their main headquarters. The accommodations are nice there. They have a cafeteria with great food. And, their CDL training was good. I already had a CDL. But, I was housed with others who were students. Everybody seemed happy. My problem started with their trainer. Basically, England charges an owner-operator to have me in the truck. So, naturally, the person is only interested in one thing. Getting you to run as many paid miles as they can. Forget training. It's all about the money. Actually, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. You see, I planned to lease a truck. I was new, and didn't know any better. I figured that as long as I don't have to put out one cent to lease the truck, how bad could I get hurt financially? Here's how. You start with like 80 or 90 cents a mile. But, they take so much of the money back that you end up with just a few hundred dollars a week. You drive 5,000 miles, and you can barely afford a buffet breakfast the following week. That's how they cheat you. They make up all kinds of fake expenses. Sure, they pay you $4,000 on paper. But, the net pay is only $350 after they deduct everything. They tell you to work even harder next month. And, they dangle this owner-operator nonsense in front of you to make you think you are actually getting something. At the end of 6 months, they want you to quit. You're burned out and dead tired. Time for a new sucker to climb in the truck and take your place. This short-term lease is just a way for England to get slave labor. Six months at a time. They call it a love it or leave it lease. I think I'll leave it.
