One would not typically look to Ripoff Report before accepting employment at a Social Service agency. If I had seen the report already listed here from March of 2012, I would not be in this current position as a victim of fraud. CI,Inc, has now closed its doors but I left in April 2013 when it became apparent that we were not going to get paid. Approximately nine employees/ independent contractors have become casualties of an agency professing to help others, abused children, parents needing instruction and support, as well as Veterans, etc. The Department of Economic Security in Arizona governs Child Protective Services that contracted CI,Inc to provide services to families. It is assumed that becomng a provider is a rigorous procedure of proving ability to perform appropriately according to licensure. Melissa received payments from CPS and yet did not pay those that she contracted to do the actual work. It appears that she might have padded the billing as well, not that any of us benefitted. Complaints have turned on deaf ears.
I grew up in a crime ridden neighborhood but even there, sometimes the bad guys got a consequence. I have learned that the best crime, the safest crime to get away with, is to get into a business where no one cares if you are not paid. No one responds when your money is essentially stolen from you. Heck, Iv'e seen kids that stole a bike receive more of a consequence than Melissa did for stealing thousands of dollars from kind, good hearted, workers going past the extra mile to help others. She must know that she has nothing to fear in a system thast does not protect the rights of workers. In fact she self righteously has intimidated and threatened workers and CPS. Victims do not have money for attorneys, nor can servers get past the gates at her custom home in gated community (while her office manager, a single parent, is now homeless because of all of this)
Look up her social media, and view a sociopath without a conscious. How can she say that she cares for people, for veterans, etc when she is engaging in war against simple workers trying to use their talents to make a living. I hope she can be forgiven and reformed, but we want our money first!
