LaShambre let me tell you I DID NOT REPORT ID THEFT!!! AT ANY POINT I NEVER REPORTED ID THEFT SO YOUR LIES WILL JUST GO TO BETTER USE WHEN I SEE YOU AND THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT IN COURT!!!!. Your company clearly tried collecting on this debt twice after it was included in bankruptcy THAT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! You company also has failed over and over and over again TO CORRECT THE INFORMATION ON MY CREDIT REPORTS TO REPORT ACCURATLY!!! How can I be 120 days past due?? Or 90 days past due?? Or a collection account in July 2000 or July 2001?? YOU ARE FOS a lyer and have broken the law your response proves it right here. I told your moronic company to fix this but no I got transferred to the legal dept, then to the bankruptcy dept, then to customer service then back to legal, and no one wanted to take care of it. Well to late now we are going to Federal Court, I am sick of your games and BS in regards to my credit reports, I have three statements notorized from different companies in regards to getting declined for a vehicle because your trade line was reporting as 120 days past due collection account... THE FCRA allows for punitive damages as well as regular damages and statutory damages. I will be filing in my local Michigan court to for the illegal repossession your company did which is against the Michigan Consumer Protection Act and the Michigan Occupation Code. Your company can hammer it out now with counsel, but I will make sure that he includes you as a defendant now that you have so blatently lied for so many to view. LET ME TELL YOU ONE ORE TIME I NEVER CLAIMED ID THEFT. I HAVE A COPY OF EVERY LETTER I SENT YOUR COMPANY AND EVERY LETTER I SENT THE MI AG, THE BBB, THE FTC, and the SEC, and the bankruptcy trustee. I am also the original poster of this thread not an employee

Credit Acceptance's key focus is assuring that our customers have a chance at better financial opportunities through improving their credit and "Changing Their Lives" by financing a vehicle with our Dealer-Partners. With this being said, we continously strive to assist and support our customers needs and to allow them the guidance and support that they need for improving their credit and purchasing power. In the case of the consumer responsible for creating this report, the Corporate Legal and Compliance, CRD Team is responsible for retrieving, investigating and responding to customer credit reporting disputes. This department has followed company and government compliance guidelines with regards to the above mentioned account. This individual claimed Identity Theft through the reporting agencies and as with all account fraud claims, we thoroughly researched the account and determined the ownership of the account as belonging to the consumer. This consumer has not been reported inaccurately by Credit Acceptance since its discharge and closed due to Bankruptcy. According to all applicable sources, Credit Acceptance has accurately provided account information on this consumers file. Once an account has been closed due to Bankruptcy it will remain on the consumers file for up to ten years. This information will not delete due to discharge of the debt. (Please see the Discharge guidelines for a better understanding of Bankruptcy rules.) What the consumer must due to ensure the accuracy of his credit file, is to properly dispute his account with all major credit reporting agencies. Selecting the "Identity" option will not provide him with the results that he requires. He must dispute all applicable account dates through the agency that provided him with his intitial credit file. Credit Acceptance has a process that will assist consumers with properly initiating a credit reporting dispute once it has been determined that we have accurately provided credit information on a consumers account. The person originating this report has failed on several occasions to follow through with the our company's assistance protocal provided to him. We are willing to assist the consumer, but it must begin with his full knowledge of his credit file and understanding that Credit Acceptance is not responsible for this error; but we can assist him in being proactive about resolving this issue accurately.
