I currently work for Cricket in the Phoenix Market. With reading all the complaints on here, I can totally relate to most everyones problems. As far as the rebates go, that is a separate company, not really affiliated with Cricket. But concerning your problem, kyocera phantom phones main problem is either "service required" or a bunch of letters and numbers on the screen. While the phone may have worked while you were standing in the line, when the sales rep went to see if it could be programmed, the phone comes up service required. Its a procedure that we have to go through to make sure the phone can be activated, and if there is a glitch in the phone the computer will allow us to see that, so instead of you paying for a 25.00 activation fee and a full month of NON-REFUNDABLE service, the problem was identified with the phone which in the end saved you approximately 75.00. You took the risks in buying a used phone from someone. When you take the cheap way out, its not always the cheapest way out. Next time, it might be a better idea to pay the extra $50.00 for a brand new phone with a warranty.
