crst trucking Broke contract Cedar Rapids IA.
I am seeing a lot of people complaining about the trucking companies that sponsor students ,and ,some are legit,but a lot are people that have simply gotten into something that is a lot more overwhelming than they anticipated. First the company rep. or recruiter is always going to sell the company as best they can,thats their job.Second they are only going to give you "BEST CASE" examples about pay and hometime.You just have to expect that.In my case with crst " cedar Rapids Steel Transport" (thats the real acronym,however CRASH AND ROLL STUNT TEAM usually fits the bill) took me in as a former driver to a refresher course then to drive,however I did have to spend 24 days with a "LEAD DRIVER" who had a lot of issues especially with caucaision men,so I had 24 days of Hell and Harassment by some one who had less than half my total exp. and a really bad attitude all the way around . Team driving is not for everyone and I had always thought that I would not like it and sure enough I suffered thru 7 months with a lazy unwilling co-driver and then had to take a leave due to a foot injury that did not merrit workmans comp. and I did not want it to begin with!! So now to the nuts and bolts, while I was in the hospital due to an arthritis flare up and heavily medicated, and on workmans comp. my Driver Manager said that I called her under the influence of something and was not on HOMETIME?? I dont remember that call? I was terminated and had to pay my on way home to tennessee, from california and now they insist that I am still under contract,so NO ONE can hire me and they refuse to let me return there.
