When I called to cancel, I was told my 3 year contract had been renewed without my knowledge for another 3 years or one year?  When I signed up over 3 years ago, it was to be for services of at least 3 years, but no mention of an automatic renewal for extended periods after the initial term.

My bank account was closed, so they cannot get payment for service not rendered.  They now bill me for months that they have not provided security service for and there is no phone line or equipment for them to be able to provide service.

I was told to email my cancellation notice, which I did, and they continue to bill me for no service.

We are not asking for them to provide any additional service or compensation for their non-compliance.  However, if they do continue to harass for payment not due, I will request compensation for my inconvenience.

i paid the entire amount, even though it was higher than most security services, and will pay no additional

Central Security Group's monitoring agreement (contract) has an automatic renewal for one year terms following the initial 3 years of the agreement.  This is discussed during the sales process, is covered on the 'No Secrets' form that each customer signs and is also spoken to during the quality control call each customer receives following installation.

This monitoring agreement is industry standard, as is the auto renewal period to, among other things, protect the customer from having service discontinued without their knowlege.  The agreement also helps CSG recoup money that was initially invested in the equipment installed in the customer's home or business.

The most important thing I want to convey in this rebuttal is to please read your monitoring agreement before signing it.  Go to other alarm company reviews and you will see the same complaints.  Customers who do not read what they sign are often surprised by the terms and conditions of what they agreed to.

We are proud of the service we provide and have over 200,000 satisfied customers.....we make every effort to ensure the customer is happy with our service.  I also regret the bad experience this customer reported.
