first things first,could not be happier with sales team,no issuses,great service from both.We purchased 2005 lincoln aviator with 75k miles in feb 2010,service work was completed prior to purchase by dealership srvc dept including axle seals on rear of vehicle,brakes & oil/filter/lube.After 5-6 weeks noticed fluid leak from rear of vehicle,took vehicle to local srvc ctr in tn & found left rear axle coming out of housing,major issue,we thought.truck was towed to local ford dealer in jacksboro tn,after inspection tech found while seal had been replaced proper prcedure had not been followed as outlined by ford service manual leaving axles not secured in differential housing by snap rings on driveshafts.when i contacted mark srvc mgr @ cumberland ford he immediately started explaining to me how there was no way it could have been any type of mistake on thier behalf & must be some other failure.After the initial phone call he left another message on my voice mail explaining after talking with his technician he informed me again that again could not have been anything they had done & that snap rings had nothing to do with keeping axle in place......hello!!!!Obviously he & his technician are clueless about the design & repair of these drivelines,i have detailed photographs & descriptions of correct repair done @ cain ford in jacksboro which i would be gald to share with anyone interested,you may contact me @ (((REDACTED))).I WOULD RECCOMEND BUYING BUT NEVER SERVICING YOUR NEW FORD OR LINCOLN MERCURY @ CUMBERLAND FORD
