Custom Design Landscape owed and operated by Gil Mawhinney abandoned work site at the end of June 2014 after taking over $20K.
The entire family is in on the fraud including sister-in-law Lydia Mawhinney who sells this service.
The work that was performed is sub standard and the patio cover we paid for has not been delivered or installed. In addition he does not pay his workers and as soon as they realize he is yet again a 'no show' they drop tools and walk off the job. During initial negotiations with him we where promised all kinds of great things, he just wanted to take the money and run.
Gil Mawhinney is using licence 420253 which belongs to William Clifford Bena Jr. of Garden Grove.
He advertises heavily on Craigs List and his latest dba is OC Construction & Landscape Pro's . I have found 14 other business names. He creates havoc and upset at every step of the way. He ignored requests from the BBB and the California State Licensing Board.
A true RIPOFF!!
