Take WARNING when looking at Custom Gate Systems out of Escondido, CA. They are a complete and SCAM! HOWARD ALLEN will take phone calls in the beginning when he trying to secure your business, then after that, the cell phone, which I have is no longer answered.
I have had gates on order since September 2011. I was told a 4 week delivery. Even the Proposal/50% down contract noted no more than 8-10 weeks. It is now March 2012. You can call the main number on the website (customgatesystems.com) and get ahold of a sweet mannered MICHELLE or TERRI, but you ALWAYS get an excuse, or I will call you back.............all complete LIES!!!!!!!
I hired my attorney to send a refund request to avoid a full blown lawsuit, but they decided again, not to respond. Therefore, we are going to launch a lawsuit against the Custom Gate Systems. At this point, it is not the 50% down I lost (which according to the BBB of San Diego is ILLEGAL for a NON-LICENSED CONTRACTOR to charge any more than 20% down on products and services. Go figure, more illegal activity.
Please note, they are listed on Angie's List, which is supposed to give a buyer a secure feeling, and I WARN AGAIN, please do not use these folks. You will be out a lot of $$ and time wasted in follow up and research on them. If I would have done my research ahead of time, rather than a stupid impulse buy, I would have NEVER used them. Shame on me. I will be contacting Angie's List to ensure they are removed from the list. No one else should be SCAMMED by Custom Gate Systems ever again.
