Craig Eaton used to work at my fabric dyeing company in New York City.  He stole money from customers, lost their garments and destroyed them.  His purported relationships with the apparel industry are false, his name is known among the design studios throughout NYC as a liar and a thief.  If you send your clothing to him or fall for his scam to pay his monthly fees, you will be robbed.  I had Craig Eaton arrested on Grand Larceny charges for stealing $3,000 in company checks, he claims to have had a cocaine problem at the time.  The address on the website is for his mothers home in Concord, NH where he now lives and dyes out of the basement.  He claims to have had an atricle written on him in the Miami Herald, the author was also a victim of Craig's, she is currently seeking to take legal action against him.

Hi John,   I am wondering how it's going and if you will be able to help me regain some of the losses caused by the unscrupulous Craig. (By the way I tried to write something in that website you sent in order to help other people not get tricked by him, but it wouldn't let me. However you can feel free to use my story.)   I understand that many people lost money, and not just me. Still I am wondering if there is anything you can do.   Thanks and good luck,   Nechama On Thu, Aug 6, 2009 at 8:51 PM, nechama wrote: Dear John,   I am really sorry about the trouble that Craig caused for your company. I hope you recover and succeed more wildly than ever before so as to recoup all the lost $ etc.   I am not sure though what else I can say. In my first email (below) I said what i would like - please reread and let me know what you think.    Thank you,   Nechama   On Wed, Jul 29, 2009 at 7:54 AM, John wrote: Dear Nechama,   Please accept my sincere apology for the troubles that you have experienced with my company.  Although it is not appropriate to involve a customer with a companys internal problems, I will try to explain, or to at least give you some understanding.  Our head dyer, Craig Eaton, has recently been let go of the company for grand larceny.  Over the course of the past 6 months, he has been stealing cash payments as well as other resources of the business, and lying to customers.  Unfortunately, because we instilled so much trust in Craig, many things were unrecognized until it was too late.  This being said, I believe you fell a victim to Craigs lies and carelessness.  I would like to do whatever I possibly can to rectify this matter and leave some sort of pleasant impression of our company with you.  Please let me know what you feel I can do to help recompense for this unnecessary set of circumstances.   Sincerely, John   From: nechama Sent: Monday, July 27, 2009 10:56 PM To: John Subject: thank you for listening   Dear John,   Thanks for taking the time to get to the bottom of this. I will tell you what happened and then we can figure out what to do.   A few months ago, on the 27th of May (give or take a day) I mailed a package to your company after speaking to Craig. I needed the stuff dyed and in my hands by Wednesday of the following week for some events, so Craig told me to overnight it and I did. Then began a long saga where I called Craig many, many times. He hardly ever returned my calls and when he did, the story kept changing - he forgot to do it and he'll do it the next morning, there is no dye, he did it and now he just has to mail it to me, etc. But in short I did not get it when I needed it and I did not either get it for many, many weeks.    Now I have the pieces, but they are 1) not the right color 2) one of the items is torn and shrunk. I can no longer return them either.   These items are basically useless to me now. When I spoke to Craig, I was very clear about the color they needed to be and that if he couldn't do that color I would prefer not to dye them at all. He assured me he could do that color... But you know the end of the story.   So in short, besides the minutes and hours of phone calls and calculations and disappointments, I have lost lots of money: 1) the cost of overnighting, which was $30-something more than regular mailing. 2) the cost of the dress - was $60-something  3) the cost of the other two items - I believe one of them was about $35 and the other closer to $20.   It is not possible to do anything about the time and energy that went into this whole process, but I would like to be reimbursed for my financial losses. Somewhere in your plant there is also a scarf (green and yellow, Free People) that I mailed to Craig a long time ago and which I asked him to send back together with my next cluster of items. This was not so expensive for me, only $9, but I would try to return it or sell it on ebay so I wouldn't mind if I could get that back too. I am a writer and have been talking to many people about this, so I can assure that a positive ending to this saga will bring lots of good publicity to your company. Here is a story that I wrote before I was disappointed (I did not include the name of the company because, among other reasons, by the time this story went up I was starting to have more ambiguous feelings Company):  http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/905613/jewish/Confessions-of-a-Lazy-Millionaire.htm.   Thank you very much for your time and understanding,   Nechama     -- If two wrongs don't make a right, try three. -Laurence J.
