Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Approximately one year back I purchased a Blu-ray drive from Tiger Direct. That drive came bundled with sofware, PowerDVD 7,from Cyberlink that was supposed to play Blu-ray discs. It did not.

I was told by the Cyberlink that in order to play blu-ray I would have to upgrade to PowerDVD 9 Ultra. I have jumped through hoops installing, uninstalling Cyberlink's upgrades and patches, resetting my computer, juist doing everything and anything having to do with debugging this software - all of it to no avail. I have even tried tosuccessfully install on different computers, thinking maybe there's something special with theone I bought it for! Nope - nothing works.

I canplay regular DVD's with their software butI cannot get any of my five computers in my home to play blu-raydiscs withCyberlink's software.I have never in my life spent so many hours on a computer attempting to fix aproblem of this sort. I aman "expert" computer person andable to debug all sorts of software as well hardware. I did it for a living for tenyears!Allthe time I have spent trying to salvagethe software from Cyberlinkhas been a waste of time and it boils down to the fact thatthat companycheated me out of my money; I'm quite angry about it.

I went to the store and bought several Blu-Ray Movies. All my Computers are new and contain a Blu-Ray Writer/Player. I tried it on several Computers, with software from every place I could find on the Internet, near 10 of them, including WinDVD and PowerDVD. Only to get warnings from all of them about wrong format. DVDs work great, Audio too. I can get a Blu-Ray blank disc and write 25GB of anything using software to write with, yet will not play a Blu-Ray movies, I bought. I bought a Toshiba with a Blu-Ray Player, it uses "Corel WinDVD for Toshiba" that will play a Blu-Ray movie. I tried to install software from several places, yet never worked. They all expect me to trust them to believe their software works, yet never did.
