Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Ok, ill give the rundown real quick.

You answer an ad saying entry level management or 'do you like loud music?' or 'sports personality!' or.. well basically any kind of ad that seems fun or too good to be true and doesn't tell you what it is. the papers are filled with these adds. if youre close to a big town, youll probably see 20 adds from places like these, mabe 3-4 different independent companies.

you go for the interview, they tell you you sell to different people/businesses "PROMOTIONS". they will then show you their promotions. smart circle does coupons man, ha. they sell coupon books. theyll give you the most prestigious 'coupon book' during your interview which will be like ny yankees tickets.. you will not be selling these, youll be doing something horrible like oil changes or pizza coupons or golf discounts. the manager will be very slick and will not let you get a word in unless they ask for it. (i really do applaud this, its fun to watch when you know whats happening. these people are good at what they do). you wont be able to ask any questions, if you do ask theyll change topics or persuade or dodge or whatever.

you'll be told 40 people or some outrageous number is out for the job. only 10 will be called back. you get a call later that night saying youre chosen for the next day. its a field interview, you spend 8 hours out in the field walking and selling stuff.. like coupon books. as long as you like it, you get the job. seriously. they need you more than you need them. be an a*****e its fun. f**k with them. use your leverage.

the people that take you out will make money off of what you sell.. they manipulate you in many ways, like setting up critical conversations to know how to push your buttons to keep going and make you want the job and show up the next day, or telling you youre flat out amazing and theyre so lucky they found you etc. theyll pump you up. theyll be your friend to get money out of you. it sucks when you get out of it and realize it.

if you take the job, you start off every morning with atmosphere... keeps people happy and brainwashes them to not want to quit. they give random stories to encourage not giving up on your dream etc just to keep you happy and making money for them.

if you take one of these jobs, make SURE YOU DO NOT PAY FOR YOUR GAS. you will be driving and they will not compensate unless you make a deal out of it.

honestly, itll take up LOTS of your time... you have to do roadtrips and leave home for a week out of the month... you work 13 hours a day and youre tired as f**k by the end of it. your social circle will end up being people you work with.

oh, and theyll tell you a whole bunch of s**t about taxes.. because you have to pay a lot since youll be 'running your own business' (buying merch from them and selling it constitutes as your own business). im scared about my taxes.. its gonna be like 33$ of income generated. idk who puts that much money aside for taxes. not me.

and if youre going door to door, its ILLEGAL. if someone catches you, you could get ticketed. honestly, its a toss up if they will care or not, im sure you can talk your way out of it, i always did.

...i worked with another company for awhile.. i definately got manipulated, but for some reason i still feel a bond with them. i really did like the job... ill stay subjective... it did get me walking around a lot, it made me a lot smarter to deception, it taught me a lot about goalsetting, attitude etc, gave me stronger ppl skills, and taught me a skill which is ya know, selling s**t. If this ever gets around to him, i know all you guys are connected, I wanna thank Jamaican Willie for teaching me alot (regardless of his true intentions) and that i admire his people skills and salesmanship. im 'the chinese guy selling leather jackets' from bedford.

but after leaving this place, i went to monster.com and did my resume and got a call from smart circle within like an hour. i knew exactly what they were going into it, and i had fun with the motherf**kers, ha. i got my ego stroked a little bit, i was f**king with them, (i know i was transferring my emotions... haha i was kinda pissed about the last place and took it out on them) and i made some quick money for free.. and i took it out of those guys pockets.

anyways, these guys lie a LOT. smartcircle lies to the customers... a guy i went out with would tell them 'oh my boss wanted to do some free stuff because thanksgiving is right around the corner, yea i work over at ______'. idk that got me for some reason. i cant blatantly lie like that. and ive read a lot of reports about the validity of the coupons they sell... lots of hidden fees and it f**ks the people over.

to jamaican willie, if you ever get around to this report and read it, ill buy you cheeseburger from scorchers because i genuinely like you and would like to meet socially.

to adam robinette, youre a f**k. you owe me money. but i took a whole bunch from you. lol, no but i respect you too. i know what youre into. but dude, dont let it take you over any more than it has. youre probably a stand up guy away from this s**t and you take peoples money. what would your mom say? find some time to find a girlfriend bro. next time a chick invites you in for a drink and tells you her boyfriend is an a*****e, dont try to recruit her bro! haha youre funny. oh and dude, watch out for your taxes, youre gonna get f**kEDso be prepared.

AHEM; EVEN IF youre one of the 5,000 that are willing to/able to make it to manager, you really dont make that much money... i did the math and if you run an office (takes 1-2 years to get to this level) you make somewhere around maybe 1,000 a week, minus expenses for warehouse, and ads in the paper, and keeping people motivated with bonuses, and youre only making like.. s**t probably 30,000g for working 12hours a day.
