Cycle BC Cycle BC Rentals & Tours Cycle BC hold off $500 of my Credit card and charged me $214 for a small damage on a back plastic part holding the Plate called(Tail assembly), on a small cheap used Honda Jazz scooter, happened involuntarily when I dropped the bike in standstill position. As a local Vancouver resident and a loyal and Law-abiding Canadian citizen, my first and last experience with Cycle BC this weekend of June 2014 was horrible. As I rented one of their red Honda JAZZ scooters, and accidentally dropped it and caused a small damage on the back plastic part that holds the BC Plate#, No accident nor a crazy stunt driving was performed, but this sneaky b******s covering their a**es with some small fine prints sneaky policies. They hold $500 on my credit card and the next day they emailed me an invoice of $214.10 ( replaced the whole plastic part which is was the Tail Assembly, License plate bulb and cover + $45/hr of labour + Tax)that they automatically took from the credit card. Manager refused to take cash or my offer to repair it or to buy him the broken plastic part (worth max $50 incl labour).
Just be careful from their fine prints or avoid them and go elsewhere. Some kind of businesses are taking advantage of lot of naive and ignorant customers especially this Cycle BC is unfortunately the only one in DT and popular for lot of ESL students and tourists.
