Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We were looking for the perfect small poodle (2-3 lbs) for our family. We purchased a dog from lilpoodles.com and drove 8 hours to Pickneyville Illinois to pick up the dog. The dog was 26oz when we picked him up and supposedly 12 weeks old. We signed a contract that the puppy would be guaranteed from genetic defects for 1 year after purchase. We purchased the puppy for $3500.00 dollars because it was said to be 2-3 lbs at full growth weight. Well 3 months later our dog weighed 6.5 lbs and has puppy mill syndrome, as our vet described it. Not only did we purchase a puppy that was supposed to be between 2-3 lbs and end up near 7, we also purchased a pure bred that was showing classic puppy mill syndrome signs. Our Veterinarian and 2 others have diagnosed the puppy with genetic defects from the inbreeding and possible early weining of the puppy. The Veterianarian suspects he was taken away form the litter too early to sell as a small puppy. When Cyndi was contacted about this she said she would get back to us, that we needed a Veterinary diagnosis, that was 2 months ago. We had also went to the trouble of getting 3 different Veterinary diagnosis' and they all came back with the same report of genetic defects due to inbreeding. She has ignored all calls, emails, and lacts any reasoning. We have even emailed her offering to give him back for free because in the contract it states she has the priority if the dog will be given away and she will not respond. She has blocked all phone numbers and her voicemail box is always full. Our perfect puppy venture ended up to be our $4000.00 nightmare. Be warry of all of her puppies and know that what you are buying has no guarantee at all. Not only on weight, but on genetics too. She will not honor her agreement and will simply ignore your calls. Buy from anyone but her, She is running a puppy mill not only for poodles but maltese too. Look at her reviews only and never buy a puppy from her. You can get the same thing from your local animal store with a real guarantee and half the money invested.

Cindy Eplin no longer owns the name Lil poodles. Ownership changed hands in November of 2008. If you look at the date of the most recent report it was filled in 2008. I have no idea why this person has reposted it making it seem like a new complaint. As I feel bad for anyone what has had poor dealing with Cindy Eplin. Please consider I am not her.

I have been showing and breeding poodles for over 30 yrs. And have a spotless reputation. I do not support any puppy mills or pet stores for selling puppies. My puppies are all raised in my house with me running around playing in my living room, etc. What I don't keep to show I sell as a pet registered with AKC.
If you are considering purchasing a puppy and found this report. I can provide you with phone numbers to people who have purchased puppies from me in the past and recently. You are definetly welcome to come to my place to get your puppy and meet the parents of you puppy. I also have a health guarantee and puppies sales contract.
Thank you Cathy Adamson

For all who choose to read this response. I am Cyndi Epplin. This is the only name I go by although my legal name is Cynthia. I was married and went by the last name of Conner during those years. I was the previous owner of LilPoodles. I sold this company in November 2008. I am no longer affiliated with any dog business. I did have some problems prior to selling my business (law suit) which I did resolve. I apologize to anyone who ever had any trouble with their dogs that I sold and I did my best to compensate and resolve any issues. I was in the business for many years and sold many dogs which many of my customers would tell you were very healthy and happy.  I put a lot of love into what I used to do and I never intended on hurting anyone or any of the animals. I pray that anyone hurt will find it in their hearts to forgive me. I have been trying very hard to start my life over here in North Carolina. I do not know why there are different addresses posted for me for places I have not lived. There are some bits of information written on this site that are not true. At this point it doesn't matter. People will say what they want. I do not know what motivates them now, a year after I have left and tried to start over.

There has been so much information written about me that is untrue involving other people, people that I do not know.  I send my deepest regrets and apologies out to these people and any other women with the name Cynthia Epplin (there are a few). I know you have been harassed because of my prior problems. I am deeply sorry for this. In conclusion, I am currently working with an attorney to find out who is behind these erroneous posts. With technology allowing us to track the IP source we should be able to find the person responsible for all of this harassment.

I am an honest breeder and let me tell you that you were very lucky not to be ripped off by Cyndi Epplin and her supposed reverend John. I made the translation for a friend in Europe and my friend sent $4500. to Cyndi and never received a dog, and they both left the house they had rent without paying the rent and living two dogs behind, fortunatly her ex-husband recovered the dog that was the family dogs for his children that are not with her anymore. I bought Cyndi's business Nov. 6, 2008

My name is Cathy. I purchased some of Cyndi's dogs and her web site on Nov. 6,2008. Feel free to call me if you wish. I did not know at the time that Cyndi had these reports filed with ripoffreports. And I don't want her reputation to tarnish my business. I just read the addition to one of the reports.(To finish the story) Clearly this person is proactively pursueing Cyndi. Like the rest of us. I want to make it known I am not Cyndi Epplin. In the report the person assumes I am Cyndi. Just changed my name. This is not so. I truely am a different person. In fact I have not been too happy with Cyndi myself. I paid Cyndi and John almost $10,000.00. I thought I was buying all AKC registered poodles. When Cyndi delivered the dogs to me. There were 4 Maltese. Three of them with no registration. Also Three of the AKC poodles I purchased did not have any AKC papers but I was promised that I would get them. I still don't have them and can't find Cyndi. I have been trying for 1 1/2 months to call, email and snail mail Cyndi. But can't reach her. I have been contacted by many creditors and customers looking for Cyndi. I wish I could help all of you. But I can't . I am not Cyndi. As far as I know, Cyndi no longer has any dogs. The lilmaltese and lilyorkie web site mentioned in other reports don't exist. The reports you have already written, put her out of business. She is off the map. If you continue to write things please either mention that the past owner did this to you or acknowledge that there is a new owner. If you would like to call me feel free. I am sure you have noticed the changes to the site. My picture and voice are shown on the site. I don't know for sure how much these reports have hurt my business. But I am sure they have. Had I know they existed I would not have purchased the dogs and the site. But now I have it and am asking for your aknowledgment. I hope we can all settle our difference with Cyndi. If you find her please let me know.

While Cyndi may appear to be very "christian" above, there are many things that as a consumer you may want to consider. Have you noticed she has not replied to the reports posted about her ripping off other customers as in not sending them their puppies after she has the money? Have you also noticed if you ask, she buys puppies from other people and sells them as her own. My puppy I bought from her she had purchased from another "breeder" and I believe this to be a sign of a puppy mill. Also she has changed her name on her website from cyndi to cathy and moved states, coincidence to all these reports? I think not. Be very weary of this woman and her dogs. She is not what she seems and she may not stand by her word. She is willing to attack a report that she can try to pick apart to make herself look better and not mention the above, but will not touch the ones where she owes people thousands of dollars and if you look closely she notes she is not responsible for her own actions prior to november 2008! Take a close note of that because she could change her name and move states and she wont be responsible for your dog!

#8Consumer Suggestion

Cyndi Epplin Cyndi Epplin and Lilpoodles.com Illinois Illinois In defense of Cyndi Epplin. NOT ALL BREEDERS ARE PUPPY MILLS BECAUSE THEY SELL PUPPIES OVER THE INTERNET. My mom is a breeder. I was raised going to dog shows and around dogs my whole life. My mom recently stopped breeding and I ended up buying a puppy from Cyndi. The flew to her house to get my puppy. Her house was clean and the dogs were all friendly and well cared for. She is not running a puppy mill. I flew home with a wonder little teacup poodle puppy . Missy is now 2 years old and weighs 3 1/2 pounds. My vet says she is the most well behaved , healthy little poodle he has seen in a long time. The reason I flew to Illinois is so I could meet Cyndi. But also so she could meet me. My mom would do her best to interview perpective buyers over the phone. Selling a puppy to some one you have never seen was just as scarey for my mom as I am sure it is for her buyers. Before the Internet people would come to our home. So we could meet them. And let me tell you many time my mom refused to sell a puppy to someone. I am sure any one who deals with the public on a daily basis knows how weird and crazy some people are. Especially when it comes to animals. Let me share with you a few experiences my mom can tell about her dealing with the public in the dog breeding business. One time a lady returned a puppy because she and her vet said it had genetic neurological problems. My mom in good faith took the puppy back . And to her vet to find out was wrong with this puppy. Only to find out when her vet called to speak with the other people's vet that the dog fell in the pool and drowned. They revived the dog and ever since has had neurolical problems. This lady made up all kinds of lies. And spread them around to other people. Saying my mom would not refund her money and sold her a puppy with genetic defects. Another time a single man bought a tiny puppy and took it to bed with him the first night he got it. The next day there was something wrong with the pup. So he took it to the vet. The bladder was ruptured. This man got on the phone and really gave my mom hell. Threatening her with a law suit. She took the puppy back. Later we found out the man had rolled over in the night and smashed the puppy. Rupturing it's bladder. There was a puppy that we had until 4 1/2 months of age. Because it was to small to go. He finally reached 28 ounces and my mom sold him to one of her grooming customers. At 9 months her came back for a hair cut and was 7 lbs. Who would of guessed. Another puppy was sold to our neighbors grandmother. She wanted something around 6-8 lbs. She picked out a puppy that was 2 1/2 lbs at 8 weeks the puppy stopped growing at 3 1/2 lbs and never got any bigger. Who would of guessed. Only God I suppose. So people please realize there are two sides to every story. I can see from the reports here on this web site, that Cyndi has taken the time to report a rebuttal to each complaint. Which in the big picture are only a few. That in it self says alot. I personally had a great experience buying a puppy from her. She has been there many times to talk to me in the past few years. From time to time my mom would get a weirdo that bought a puppy. They must of thought that puppies come in a box, like a pair of shoes. Expecting it to be the exact size they wanted and act just like there other dog. Well let me tell you. My mom was an honest breeder. She would always tell people that the charts that are out there to measure teacup dogs are only an average. It is not a exact science. Just like you can't tell how tall a 2 yr old child is going to be full grown. Dogs are the same. I read Cyndi's web site again since it has been a while . And as you can see, she state's in writting it is not an exact science. She does her best with her experience with past breedings of like dogs. Most people insist that their breeder tell them about what size the dog will be full grown. So she tried to go by the chart. I don't think most people fully understand what is all involved with raising teacup sized dogs. This is a 24 hour 7 days a week job. And many puppies die at birth. This is one reason why they are so expensive. Not to mention my mom had a waiting list. I can suggest that you learn as much as you can about the breed you want to buy. Once you are educated. You will know with in a 5 minute phone conversation if the person is a good breeder. When you find a hand full of breeders that you would buy from. Keep in touch with them until they have what you are looking for. Until them be weary of people that write their stories on the Internet. Go with your gut, get an education and if you can go see the puppy. At least see if the breeder is willing to let you come to their house. Honestly las vegas, Nevada

#10REBUTTAL Individual responds

First, the puppy was tiny and I did believe it was to be a tiny teacup. I would not lie about something like that. These people met me in person and I worked with them on their payment and trusted them. Their son also purchased a dog from me at the SAME TIME and I gave him a great deal. They not once mentioned how much they love and adore that puppy. That puppy was not raised in the same home as the teacup this complaint is on. This is a LARGE family and I was told that they also had a poodle prior to this one that had to be given away because it was aggressive and bit someone. The puppy I sold them that they are speaking of, came from a litter of 6. The other 5 puppies in this litter went to good homes and everyone is very pleased with what they have as well as temperaments. I have never been told that my kennel was a puppy mill. In fact, the inspectors (state and AKC) told me my kennel was the NICEST in the entire state of Illinois. There is NO SUCH THING AS PUPPY MILL SENDROME. The word sendrome is used when you can't figure out what it is, honestly. I am VERY sorry that this could not be resolved in a christian manner. I cannot replace a puppy that someone has made mean with a nice puppy. That would not be in the best interest of my dogs. Dogs are trained and taught what they know. I am deeply sorry. The lilpoodles LLC is now under new ownership. The new owners are NOT responsible for any business prior to November 2008
