Yep, I too have had a tangle with Dart. They too have ruined my DAC and are trying to ruin my life. i had been with the company a little over ten years (Got the coat and the ring).Started with them in 1998 as an allpoints Company driver/ fleetline division Lancaster Tx or now DOC. Then I became a lease operator and trained my wife to drive .At first they weren't so bad Leased thru H.S. (their leasing company)in 2000.

My wife then got my first truck by taking over the lease for the truck. I then leased another truck in 2002 a new 2003 Columbia FL and that was when things went into the crapper first load on a new truck the 5th wheel guts were pulled out and H.S would not honor repairs . i had to go thru freightliner to make the fifthwheel company honor the repair bill that still cost me $$. And there were other things wrong with the truck that were not honored . But that is the trucks problems.

The thing that chaffs me is I worked 5yrs to pay off the truck I came in to Pro Stop (their repair shop) and was told that there was extensive problems with my truck and since i was so deep in repairs bills they would not lone me the money to repair ( a practice they used to do) to get it up to their code. I say it is up to their code due to the fact the truck passed a full level three inspection outside of danville il weigh station 5 days before. Now get this. they wouldn't loan me the money to repair the 2003 truck but instead want me to lease another truck a 2000 mind you for $48,000.

Well at the end my wife gave up driving her truck (it is in the back yard right now) to help me to pickup the payments on my truck.Teaming , good idea huh? nope got less miles with too people on the truck as i did solo. We darn near starved ! Plus when we did start to run good ,the truck would break down since it was set up essentially for solo driving at first...

Well I was more or less forced to buy that 2000 truck and got so angry i drove it for only 2 months After i found out they sold my truck for $3000(which i lost money paying for 3 of the 4 drives on the truck ) wife was angry changed jobs while we were on the road. Drove her to orientation. And had to quit that way because we were so deep in the hole that we'd starve. Well one month later i quit also.

Found a job as a company driver. But recently found out on my DAC that i was fired for late deliveries and safety reasons... Lies, but who is gonna believe that I thought of myself as a slave to Dart... Well I quit Dart gave back all their equipment told my fleet manager and others of the hierarchy my intentions to quit, and yes at the end i told them of my displeasure and why. I had some good times there but as for going back or recommending them..... NO!

It might have been HS but they go hand in hand... at least when i was there..... And also this was my second new truck from them.... All i have to say is that they have changed and not for the good .... Also to it's familiar..... My sympathy goes out to you for having to go thru what you did, but thanks for commenting... thought i was being treated like a fool . Well i lived and i learned ...Thanks for the come back .

I was a contractor for Dart from 2003 to 2007 when I sold my truck.

I never had a HS truck. (Their insurance was wayyyyyyy to high)
But I did run my truck out of Lancaster for 4 yrs.. and I never... ever... had a problem with them.
They always treated and my family fine.
Now if that would had been your truck, and not a HS reject, I think things might have turned out better.

Live and learn.

Also I am not a fan of HS or Prostop

I worked for Dart back in 2003 and leased a brand new truck from them, had the same problem with the 5th wheel too. They told me to take it to Freightliner to get it fixed, well the truck sat at Freightliner for 6 days waiting for the parts to come in. I kept calling every day to check status on the truck, then on that 6th day when I called, Freightliner told me that they no longer had the truck and that Dart (Highway Sales) came and picked it up. I called Dart to find out what in the hell was going on and they told me that they cancelled my contract because I wasn't out driving and didn't make my weekly truck payment. Keep in mind that I also paid extra each week for truck payment insurance, in the event the truck broke down then the payment would still be made. I asked them where my things were and they told me that there was nothing in the truck so my 2nd cellphone, CB,TV,DVD Player, Fridge, etc. all just up and magically walked away. On top of all of this garbage then they notify DAC Services (trucking company brown nosers) that I abandoned the truck, I find this funny considering that I brought the truck to a service facility that they authorized, and the truck was being worked on, not abandoned. I eventually had to call my attorney who in turn called Dart and notified them that we would be suing them regarding the false information given to DAC. Well wouldn't you know it that Dart had DAC remove the information. Sorry folks but I would NEVER recommend Dart to anyone.
