Sounds like this was the opposing attorney in a case you had going on.
I'm sorry that your case didn't turn out the way you wanted it to. But if he was your opponent, and you're upset with the outcome of the case, wouldn't that mean he did a good job?
If I've got the mechanics of this situation wrong, please correct me. But it looks like your anger is rooted in bitterness over receiving less than what you wanted; that this attorney never owed you a duty of any kind; and that he, in fact, did a very good job for his client.
And by the way, the Constitution allows, and in some instances requires, the assistance of legal counsel in all matters, for everybody involved. EVERYBODY, no matter what the case, no matter what the crime, has the right to an attorney. The BEST attorneys are the ones who put their own reputations at risk by taking on unfavorable clients.
Finally, if I have understood your case correctly, why aren't you complaining about your own attorney? He's the one that couldn't get you the result you wanted.

Not friendly either or affordable. If you were drunk and you smashed into someone's car and you want to get out of it or pay no one nothing for your actions to an attorney who used to work as a district attorney prosecuting drunk drivers and wheeling and dealing with private practice attorney's with drunk driving cases, knowing the system and gets along with crooked judges, that's what you get. A snake you who wheels and deals the system for criminals that pay for their crimes for large amounts of money to walk away pertaining nothing happened or refunding people from their lost personal property. Then hire him if that is what you want out of it.
