Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with.  My wife fell in love with a Bronco they had advertised and she contacted their salesman, Lee.  I followed up with him and I told him I would pay cash for it the next day if they added an AC unit.  He said it would take about a week to get the AC added in.  I paid over $30k the next day by wire.  Took over six weeks before they shipped it.  Went over two weeks with no communication whatsoever.  When it was finally ready I told him I was pretty upset and I wanted to make sure it was running well since it was for my wife.  He said there would be no issues with it whatsoever and it was in perfect running condition.  They shipped it a few days later.  When it got to our house the vehicle would not start.  It was leaking fluids all over the floor of our garage.  I couldn't take it to a shop to get checked out because Lee forgot to send my papers and didn't send them until a week and a half later.  I told him how disappointed I was and he said take it to a shop and if they see any problems they'd refund my money.  I took it to a mechanic who owns three Broncos himself and he said it would need about $1000.00 to be up to par but that this vehicle would be nothing but trouble, especially for a woman who has no mechanical abilities.  I told Lee this and that I was shipping the vehicle back under the assumption they were refunding my money.  I didn't hear from them for well over a week and then I found out they were not refunding my money but consigning it on their lot without any approval from me.  I asked them under what authority were they trying to sell my vehicle and they said they were pretty sure they'd have it sold that weekend.  I inquired a few weeks later as to whether they had sold it and never heard anything so I let them know I would be suing them.  I am the owner of a very large law firm and don't like to get involved in litigation in my personal life but if they can do stuff like this to me, imagine what they do to the general public.  My other cars are a Rolls Royce and a top of the line Mercedes so I've come to know what good service is.  I knew we were getting a used car.  However, I would have expected it to be in good working condition and for the company to stand behind their statements.   I wouldn't expect service and games like this from a Yugo dealership.

I have nearly 200 employees and know how important customer service and integrity are.  Thats what upsets me the most.  If you say something to me keep your promise.  I will never buy a used car again after this experience.

The last Ford Bronco was manufactured in 1996. I'm disappointed that a man that owns a Rolls Royce and a Mercedes would purchase a 17+ year old vehicle for his wife. Maybe the Bronco is considered a classic but I don't see it.

So tell us counselor, what are the terms of the written warranty on this 17+ year old vehicle? What is the written return policy?

How did the car look when you did your first walk-around before you bought it?  When you took the car for a test drive, before you bought it, how did it run?  How did the engine sound?  As the car was parked at the dealership, before you spent $30k on it, were there any leaks?   During the test drive on that $30k car, did all the accessories work?

What are the answers to these questions?  You can't answer a single one of them!  What you did is send of $30,000 to somebody you don't know to buy a stupid car you NEVER seen, NEVER took on a test drive, NEVER checked for proper fit and finish, NEVER checked for body damage, NEVER heard the engine run, NEVER checked any or all accessories!  Absolutely, positively incredible!!!  Now you cry, whine, wail and stomp your feet because you bought a piece of junk.  It is absolutely incredible a grown human being would throw COMMON SENSE out the window, all for a STUPID CAR!  Should the seller had represented this piece of junk as it actually is?  Absolutely!  However, YOU should have used even a thimble full of common sense and not for one split microsecond even considered doing something as STUPID as sending off your money to somebody you don't know to buy a stupid used car you've never seen!

Thank you for keeping the memory of P. T. Barnum alive!  He described you when he said, "A sucker is born every minute!"
