Re; Tele King Communications Complaint

August 26th 2002

Received your envelope containing the exact duplication of an answer from Tele King to a complaint I filed with you on July 10th 2002. Their answer in this second bit of spinning is as unsatisfactory as the first was.

On Sat, August 17th I sent you a letter with more information as to why I could not deal with these people and Monday august 19th I sent you a fax with more info that was received by Vera. I was under the impression that these two letters would be forwarded to Tele King but it appears that either TK did not receive them or just think they are too big to have to answer the complaints or maybe they CAN"T answer truthfully.

I'm beginning to believe all the stories I have heard about Florida having 90% of all the scam and con artists in the USof A.

Now, would you PLEASE send copies of this and the other two letters and see if TK deserves your support. I believe that you are covering for these scam artists because they are paying into the BBB to keep themselves apparently clean when in fact they are dirty as hell

Violations of Section 5 of the FTC Act in selling business opportunities by misrepresenting:

(1) how much purchasers can earn;

(2) that purchasers will receive prime profitable locations;

(3) that purchasers will receive their phone cards and merchandise within 45 days of purchase.

(4) Violation of the Franchise Rule by failing to provide potential purchasers with:

(a) a complete basic disclosure document;

(b) an earnings claim document substantiating their oral and written claims;

(c) advertising disclosures of the number and percent of prior purchasers making as much as advertised.

(d) Provide unconditional, unrestricted refunds within 90 days if purchasers are not satisfied.

WHEN IS OUR GOVERNMENT GOIN TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE SCUMBAGS

BIG SCAM, purchased a Compaq computer through RentOne

Here a while back my wife and I purchased a Compaq computer through RentOne. The price of it was kinda steep but just starting out as a young couple our credit wasn't the greatest. So by that we couldn't credit any thing through Dell or any other company. The only way to get a PC was through RentOne well we have three payments left out of eighteen its almost ours but here about five weeks ago it had to be sent to the service repair due to not working properly. Once a week we would call and check on the PC and it was always the same thing { It hasn't came back yet} Well five weeks later we get it back and the PC won't even turn on at all we looked in side by removing the access panel and they had taken all of the internal cables and just wadded them and crammed them in side the PC. When we called to confront the store manager he just laughed in our faces. See once the remaining three payments are made they don't have to replace or warrentee anything. They are just beating around the bush until the pc is paid for then they don't have to replace it.. That is just wrong and I wish some type of action would be taken I wish I could get a new PC or all of my money back this place is nothing but a total scam and one caught up in there chain its almost impossible to break free again. Without loosing everything you worked so hard for. Now see if you or I would tell someone we fixed there car and charged them alot of money for it. But we really didn't there is a price we would have to pay when the local law inforcement came to our door.

According to my telephone conversation with the California Attorney General's Office, Debit Corp of America are the same characters as TeleKing and are being watched closely. Apparently, these guys scam people, fold then start something else, been going on for years according the Calif. AG office. This might explain why TeleKing's Frank Schrieber and Jeff Kuba are never around. Contribute to this board (it's tax deductable) because I think we need to establish this website as a nationwide (worldwide, even!) resource to put characters like Debit Corp of America out of business and keep them out!
