Bracebridge,#2Consumer Comment

I recently bought a new computer from Dell and while I enjoy my computer immensely, i was disgusted with the customer service that I recieved. Dell lost my payment for over 3 days and would not "comment" on why it was taken from my bank account but was nowhere to be found withing the walls of Dell. Like other unreliable companies I spoke with a ridiculous number of "supervisors" that all gave me different information. It is a nail-biting experience to lose 1500.00 of my hard earned money for so long. In Dell's defence when i finally was able to speak with someone that was able to locate my $$$ they sympathized with my frustrations and agreed to throw in a printer-- which was supposedly to arrive 3 monthes ago. Alas no printer. Again, I fought my way through a labrynth of automated phone messages but the person/persons that I had dealt with were "no longer with the company". SOL to me i guess. Dell's constant free give-aways and full page adds in the newspaper are tempting- especially to those that are fairly computer illiterate as I am. However, I recommend paying a little more to deal with a real-life, speaking person that you can actually track down if need be.
