Dell ripoff 51 plasma went out in 7months, replaced with used unit charged three times the cost for extended warranty for less time. Brown Rock Texas
I bought what was sold to me has a 51 inch Plasma tv. When seeking a warranty replacement when unit fell. I was told that dells largest unit was 50 inches. Though the unit only preformed properly for 7 months before the video fell(no picture) I was informed that my replacement would be a refurbused unit and that the time remaining on my 1 year warranty was the only warranty I would get unless I purchased an extended warranty at $395 dollars for one year. While dell sells a three year warranty for $495 at the point of purchase.
Now I was told that dells refurbused units are as good as new despite my protest when being told that this was what my replacement would be. If it's has good as new then why not make the same warranty availbe to me now. Because I believed in Dell qaulity I felt the unit would out last any warranty I could purchase short of a lifetime. Foolish me it didn't last a good year. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!!!!
