Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased a system from them in January of this year on ebay.

I had it shipped to my work so that my Network/IT staff could check it out and install an O/S on it (It doesn't come with an Operating System).

They advertised it as 2.4GHz processor, it was acutally a 1.7GHz processor. We looked up the Motherboard online (PCchips M935L based on the leaflet they sent with it) and found that that board would only support a 1.0-1.7GHz processor.

Then they advertised it a 500MGz bus speed and it only clocked at 100MGz. They also advertised it with 256meg of the faster DDR memory, they shipped 256meg of slower SDRAM. They also don't tell you that the 64meg Video Card is 'Onboard' which reduces the actual memory to 192meg.

Having found all these discrepancies, and feeling that the product was, in my opinion, grossly misrepresented I immediately called DEM (the seller)and explained to them what I found, told them I was terribly disappointed and wanted to return the item for a full refund ($619.00).

They told me to send it back and that they would accept the return, which I did the same day I received it. To this day, they accepted my return but has NOT returned my money. So, now they have the piece of junk back AND my money! That to me is a Thief and a Ripoff. I have tried to resolve this on several occasions since January but to no avail. I have All of our email correspondances.

I have filed a Comsumer Complaint with the Illinois Attorney General-Lisa Madigan and with the FBI. I payed through PayPal and they received their money, now they are trying to tell me That PayPal owes me the money and not them! Absolute Pure Stupidity on their part.

A lesson to all, If you are going to purchase Anything from ebay, USE YOUR CREDIT CARD! If I had, I may have been able to cancel the purchase. I chose to pay (Through PayPal) by transfering funds from my checking account never dreaming I would get Ripped!

I hope this helps someone else!

We believe that when someone places a bid on eBay, that this person has read and understands eBays Terms and Conditions. As bidders expect a seller to abide by the Terms and Conditions of eBay, a seller should be able to expect the same from a bidder. We also expect that a bidder has thoroughly read and understands the information on the auction page before they place a bid. We understand that there may be questions concerning any auction and have confidence that bidders will contact us with these questions before placing a bid. On all of our auctions we provide a picture of the product. An examination of the picture for our computer auctions will show the brands of the components used. As there is limited space for the main title, we provide all details in the description section of the auction page. This gentleman states that the cpu was 1.7 ghz with a FSB speed of 100 mhz. The chip we installed was a 2.4 533 mhz FSB. He claims the motherboard was a PC Chip M935L when the motherboard was actually a PC Chip Model M935ALU v5.1B which does support a 2.4 533 mhz FSB chip. We have tried working with this gentleman regarding the discrepancies he believed he found. We found it difficult to work with this gentleman and requested that he return the computer. As we were trying to resolve the issues, this gentleman contacted PayPal to request a refund. PayPal has taken the taken the money from my account to refund to this gentleman. This gentleman has stated that he has not received his refund. We have informed him that PayPal has his money and he should receive the refund from them. We have answered all questions put to us from any agency this gentleman has contacted to their satisfaction. We have tried to resolve the issues this gentleman had with the system. We requested he return the system, which he did. However, he paid through PayPal. PayPal has deducted the purchase price of the system from our account. Therefore the matter is entirely between this gentleman and PayPal.
