Dennis Oswalt is a liar! My mother bought a small cabin in Brewster County, TX. Her first mistake was to buy it "As Is", which definition everyone understands, and she greatly regrets trusting Dennis Oswalt. This man guaranteed her of his workmanship. Well the house has had nothing but problems. Beginning with the plumbing, which he admitted to using left over materials from previous jobs (What other corners did he cut?). He was either too cheap or too fat to put a cap on the toilet vent so it smelled of sewage during windy days. He had to bypass the bathroom pipes and kitchen pipes by drilling holes through the concrete walls because they constantly leaked. So severely the water exited the concrete walls. Now the house looks like a Dussendorf car; the kind during the 20s that had all the pipes running out of the side of the hood. Next, the roof leaks terribly. Even the walls leak! During a hard rain water will actually leach through the supposedly impervious concrete and come out of the electrical outlets. No joke! When it rains every electrical appliance must be disconnected. I assume this is because he used those crappy Fox Blocks; which are styrofoam blocks filled with concrete, not a brilliant idea in a region where it often reaches 115; so they cause the inside temperature to be approximately ten degrees less than outside. That's right! If it is 115 outside it is 105 inside. And now the foundation is beginnig to sink. None of the doors or windows were set properly so we have a very good idea of what the Dust Bowl days were like. The house must be cleaned twice a day or the dust piles up on everything, everything! To his credit before he fled Brewster County, after he attacked a physically disabled man at the local bar, he attempted to fix his mistakes and every time he did told us if another problem arose he would be happy to return. This assured us he was an honest man.
But, the problems kept coming. During our final encounter he lost his temper and said, in far more vulgar language, that he wasn't going to %&$* with it anymore. I feel very sorry for his girlfriend Melinda. She could do so much better than he and is a truly nice person. I hope she will someday stop supporting him financially. I have heard nothing of him since he left this area to "buy a gold mine". Do not trust this man even if you have a contract. I promise you will spend more money in legal fees and still never be recompensed. Dennis Oswalt is the scum of the Earth. Dennis Oswalt is a liar!

From Iowa to Montana to Texas, and who knows where else, this is the way Dennis Oswalt has done business for over 30 years. He moves on to another state when he has ripped off several people and all the bill collectors are on his tail. One cannot trust a single word he says, especially when he is making promises or agreements. He is a thief, liar, and all around con man. He is also prone to violence and has a violent, explosive temper. All beware! He is not a trustworthy person on any level.
