Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am a practicing, full time general Dentist and I decided to add Botox injections to our treatment options for our patients. I was impressed with Dr. Katz’s “claims” to be the inventor of botox which I later learned is completely ridiculous, is certainly not the case, and from what I have learned has nothing to do with the level of clinical experience and teaching abilities him or his so called botox expert training company has.  His website was well designed and their program certainly caught my eye.

The training itself was incomplete, poorly presented, in some cases the information was flat out wrong as I have learned from a practicing Plastic Surgeon colleague of mine as well as research I have done on the topic, and I am embarrassed to hang a certificate in my office waiting room letting patients know that I was trained from an online course, this is not supposed to be a “technical School”.

I am mostly upset because I spent the money on GARBAGE and still need to follow through with a company or trainer who can provide this information to me correctly so I can learn how to confidently perform Botox injections as well as Dermal Fillers. With so many companies out there, I will learn next time not to just click on , and choose a company that falls in the top results from Google. That doesn’t make a company good , but rather shows that they have a good internet marketing company in place for themselves.

The information I received, as stated above, was very incomplete and inadequate. There was very sketchy information on how to properly perform the lateral canthal rhytid injections for crows feet and how to hold the syringe and needle correctly, There is much more to learning proper technique than placing dots on a foam model. I am still unsure about the depth, the angle, and the handling of the syringe while performing any of these techniques. There is absolutely no way I will start injecting any patients from the training I have had. I defininitely need to find a real company or individual who can provide this information and hands on training. I actually have done quit a bit of research on the internet and have found more useful info from You Tube videos and Vimeo. There was very little instruction on the proper evaluation of the patient in order to decide which techniques to perform and exactly how to begin doing them on your patient. Even though I am a Dentist, I want to add Aesthetics to my practice and this course has NOT been able to help me do that! I have been a practicing Dentist for many years but this is new to me, and in order to learn this correctly there has to be better training for new injectors.

Lastly, for $700, I think I could have purchased a variety of books and other materials to use as reference that would have provided me with better information than this course. IF anyone can recommend a hands on course that they actually got to hold a syringe and needle and inject a patient, please let me know.

Fake Hoax claims against Dentox and Dr Howard Katz

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Once again a "doctor" claims to have done the online Dentox program and was not satisfied with the program. A simple Google search will show that there are hundreds of satisfied, positive reviews vs this negative review. I would be more apologetic IF the doctor actually took the program. A simple Google search shows that the "doctor" does not exist! It is simply a fabricated name and review. Online education is a very competetive space and the fabricated negative reviews are usually from unsuccesful education companies. My advice to them is do a better job rather that lie about your competitors.

To respond to the other claims about me not being involved in the discovery process. Yes, my name is on the patent applications with Allergan. Click on this link http://www.google.com/patents/WO2004035011A3?cl=en

On another note about the injection sites being incorrect: simply Google before and after pictures for the treatment the reviewer attempted to be knowledgable about. You will see that many cases are actually performed incorrectly. The way you can tell is by looking at the slightly droopy eyebrows and eyelids after the Botox has worked. The reason why so many different injectors are messing up is they are injecting incorrectly. You can learn how to do all this the right way by actually taking a Dentox course. And no, you are not requested to make pink dots on the mannekin head. You are requested to insert needles at the correct depth and angles for every site according the program as well as writing the correct doses next to each site. This shows that you understand the correct sites.

Finally we try our best to educate all healthcare providers to be a more competent injector.  It is your Healthcare Board (medical, dental, nursing etc) that certifies you to be an injector, NOT DENTOX.
