Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

While searching for a loan I gave my information to multiple "third parties" who would search for loans that I qualified for. I made the mistake of using  NCC loan Services as one of them. Hours later I got a call from Nathan Dawson, who claimed to work as a loan officer for Diamond Nationwide.

He offered me a $20K loan with a 10.7% APR if I was able to send him a $500 "Insurance payment" that would cover the loan in the event of my default (red flag number one). He also offered to give me a loan if I could bring a co-signer with enough credit, but with the first red flag I wasn't going to ask anyone to hand information to someone who was probably scamming out of a basement.

I asked him about the loan process and he explained that the loan would be funded directly from Diamond Nationwide and that they would receive the funding from another company simultaneously. When I asked how much the other companies had approved me for, he had sent he hadn't sent the application yet (red flag number 2). Then I checked their website, and on it it specifically states that Diamond Nationwide is NOT a lender and they only broker loans between individuals and banks (red flag number 3). When asked about this, Nathan responded that the website simply hadn't been updated yet.

The customer service line that was available on an obscure portion of the webpage did not pick up the phone when called. The number Nathan was calling me from was registered to some random guy in FL, NOT Nathan Dawson. The customer service email located on the website ([email protected]) took 2 days to respond, they sent me the following.

Thank you for contacting us.

Please be advised that we did not send you nor do we know who sent this to you.  We  have no connection or  relationship with whoever the sender is.  We do not have any employee by that name.  We are not a lender.

Glad you are being cautious about this type of email.  We appreciate you for making us aware.  However, we did not send you this email.  We  don't see our contact information reflected within that email.

Please note we are simply a matching service, not a lender.   We do not make any loan or credit decisions.  We try to help connect a consumer with a lender from within our network of third party independent lenders.

Please be advised that we did not send you the email you included in your contact to us.

Be careful, this guy will likely just change his name and continue trying to scam people. NCC loan Services was the company that gave this guy my information.
