Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Having been a semi-regular customer at Diamond's since fall of 2009, I am sad to say that the level of service provided by the salon is heading downwards quickly in a sort of perverse ' downward spiral ' . This statement can be supported by two seemingly disastrous, certainly unnerving, experiences that I have had at the salon within the past year.

Ms. Vigil is the sort of hairstylist who appears to use verbal and psychological 'mental judo' with her clients in order to extract the most amount of money from them in the least amount of time. This can be said to be true by a scary experience that I had at the salon in early May of this year, and , again, on a lesser level, within the past week. I am having a hard time reporting this, as I am accustomed to her verbal egotism of most hairdressers, but, when this form of agression is purported to a physical level I fall into a state of alarm and must complain.

It is normal to ask questions about the lifestyle and the domestic whereabouts of customers in order to effect a suitable hairstyle, I am the first to admit, but when the questions become overly personal and are asked as the hairdresser is wielding a threatening dish of poisonous hair dye close to a client's face, or brandishing a razor to cut hair, or sporting a sharp pair of freshly sharpened scissors in her right hand, I take umbrage. These overly personal questions are asked in a negative , self-aggrandizing and menacing manner, leaving the client no choice but to resort to personal parody to 'stay alive', as it were. In early May, Ms. Vigil dragged her lips across my right breast, which she had encased in a cheap plastic smock, and emitted strange utterances as she was 'leaning in' to give me a razor cut. By the way, I am female and had not asked for a razor cut. Then, this past week, again, after convincing me that I needed close to $150.00 of work on my already professional-looking coiffure, she did the necessary hair-dyeing, forcing me to hold her work materials and to hand them to her as she worked, did the hair dye work, proceeded to cut the hair on my head, and , this time , leaned inappropriately into the left side of my left arm, again, uttering strange remarks and overly demanding questions. She semi-blow dried my hair, took my money and made some kind of incoherent remark about her personal life before I left the salon. I feel very intimidated, certainly at a temporary loss to experience the joy of life and strangely abused and cheated. In her defense, she said her mother had died , so, perhaps, needs attention.

It okay to be sad when your mother is dead or dying, but it is never acceptable to take it out on the customers.

My recommendation is that Ms. Vigil be subject to some sort of warning or temporary supervision, that future customers be advised to bring a witness along when they enter the salon and that the proper government authorities know that this particular woman in business seems to be suffering some kind of ongoing emotional breakdown.

It is my express wish that this information is reviewed and contained in a confidential manner . Thank you.
