Hopefully this site puts the latest "update" first as they say it does and this can be the first and last comment that anyone reads about this now-resolved issue that never should have been an issue in the first place. This is a post about many wonderful things about D'Gani Standard Poodles and Diane Trigani.
I just wanted to say something else to anyone following this.
I spoke to a friend and he said to speak from my heart about the reason why I went to Diane Trigani in the first place to get a poodle.
There are many great reasons to buy a dog from Diane, too numerous to list here. I truly wish with all of my heart that I had not been told to come here to complain because it did not resolve the issue, it made it worse. I know now that there was a simple misunderstanding because being the professional that she is, she even had her attorney take the time to remind me of a few issues that I was not aware of and to remind me that she DOES care very much about making sure that I am aware of those issues. If I had had the information that I received yesterday then I would never have ever made any complaint. I want to thank him and Diane for the letter.
To anyone reading this, just know that I was coached by someone else to leave the comment here (I did not even know about this site) and because I was crying and upset, I made emotional statements. (In truth, thinking about this puppy situation makes me cry all of the time.) In retrospect, maybe that person wanted to be malicious. I never thought about that aspect until my friend mentioned it to me this morning. I was told by this person that I was doing the right thing by making my comments here, but the truth is that I never should have listened to the person and I never should have made the comments, not because of legal threats or hurting her reputation, but because I DO like Diane and I DO want her to succeed and I DO think she raises THE WORLD'S most beautiful standard poodles.
In fact, last night I tried to file an entire comment here about Diane's beautiful kennel and the moderators at this site took them down or wouldn't let them be put up. (Karen here emailed me chastising me telling me that I couldn't leave a "nice" post, it had to be a complaint only.)
Even if Diane and I did have a disagreement over one issue, that in no way detracts from the quality of her poodles. I was wrong to make a blanket statement at the beginning of this entire complaint. This further apology today is not a forced apology or retraction, but a genuine from-the-heart apology and a wish for Diane to do well with her kennels and her poodles and to speak to anyone reading this that if you want to buy the VERY BEST dog in the world, buy a standard poodle from Diane. (If she has them because she has long waiting lists for her dogs from all over the world.)
Diane's kennels are immaculate. The dogs are beautiful and spotless and the most beautiful poodles I have ever seen. When you look at them you know that you are seeing real works of art. I have told Diane that before - she remembers I'm sure. They dance around and her kennel is cleaner than 99% of people's houses. Not anywhere will you find a speck of dirt, not anywhere. It smells clean and yummy in the kennel. When she tells her dogs in their kennels to "shush" they do - it is amazing. Even walking down the row of kennels you do not see any offal or waste - she cleans everything constantly. Everything is in order. And when you look at the puppies, they are AMAZING.
When someone buys a poodle from Diane they are not just buying a dog, they're buying the very best that money can buy, and as I told her once, DIANE'S DOGS ARE WORKS OF ART. They truly take your breath away. There is a reason why she has the best handler in the world handling her poodles and it is because they are capable of winning the most prestigious honor possible, Best in Show at Westminster. Listening to Diane explain the strengths and weaknesses of each standard poodle is really amazing and as I told her before, she should write a book because it would be the #1 standard poodle book sold. The depth of information that she knows is astounding.
And her grooming is impeccable as anyone who has seen her grooming will attest to. If Diane lived in a more urban area I am sure she would have a huge grooming salon for dogs, but she lives in an area that is best for her dogs with a lot of room to run around in a park like setting. In a way, it is too bad that they go off to other homes because there is no home better than her own.
I do not feel well and have not felt well and am under a physician's care and when this issue started I was seeking answers and sought the wrong advice which was to come to this site and complain publicly. I want to encourage everyone reading this that if you have a complaint, do NOT make it public, work it out with the person privately or contact an attorney to send private correspondence.
Too often emotions get in the way and you may express the sentiment at the moment, or an off hand comment. But once it it posted here, you cannot delete it...so do NOT post your comments here until you have REALLY thought about what you are saying.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, ASK YOURSELF, "IF I DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH THIS PERSON, WOULD I LIKE HIM OR HER?" IF THE ANSWER IS "YES" THEN DO NOT SAY ANYTHING NEGATIVE BECAUSE EVEN IF THE ISSUE GETS RESOLVED YOU MAY NEVER GET THE FRIENDSHIP BACK AND RELATIONSHIPS AND FRIENDSHIPS ARE WORTH MORE THAN ANYTHING MATERIAL IN THIS WORLD...WE ARE ONLY HERE FOR A VERY SHORT WHILE AND BEING ANGRY AND UPSET IS A WASTE OF TIME.
Diane, I am truly sorry that we do not have a friendship any longer and I do wish you the very best in all that you do. I truly believe that one day your dogs will win Westminster and I do hope that that happens. I WILL be cheering you on, even if I am only at home. I am sorry that this issue occurred at all. If it had not then we would still be friends and I would still have one of your beautiful dogs. How much I wish that it had not, you have no idea. I pray a lot and I ask God a lot why we went through this, all of us, me, you, and the dog in question. It is not fair to any of us.
I know that we have an agreement that I can buy another poodle, but I do not wish to make you further uncomfortable so I probably will not choose to exercise that option. As you know, I have been doing rescue work for many years and I am a VERY passionate person about it and I am happy with my rescue dogs including my rescue standard poodle that replaced the dog in question.
My rescue dogs, hundreds of them, all live with me, sleep with me. I feed them the best foods, get them the best care I can afford, and I treat them as best as I can and then make sure that they go to the very best homes. From dogs simply left behind in foreclosed homes to starve, to dogs hit by cars, to dogs discarded because the dog needed a surgery and the owner would not pay for it, the very worst of the very worst, I take them all in as I am able, one or two at a time. I think that is why I was so emotional about this issue also. I wanted to buy a dog that was 100% perfect and it turned out to have an issue and I thought, "Why did this happen? I expected to buy a puppy and have it be 100% perfect and it's not." The truth is that no dog ever is perfect, NONE. That is why there is only ONE "Best in Show."
Right now I have a Yorkie with a liver shunt whose owner no longer wanted him because of it (he was purchased to be a breeding Yorkie and cannot be bred for that and an undershot lower jaw) and I have, by the grace of God, a standard poodle. The standard poodle was purchased by a person whose son is extremely ill and when the poodle became very large and unmanageable, was put in the dark garage to live the first 6 months of her life. She came to me with fleas and ticks and worms (vomiting worms and diarrhea) and a bad habit of chewing her feet and tail excessively, probably because of anxiety after living like that, but she is getting better and better day by day. I want you to know that some of what you taught me has helped this dog.
Diane, you know I look for the answers in everything and the lesson of why. I do not know why any of this happened, but the truth is that your puppy is going to be okay and is in a wonderful home and for some reason, I am now the caretaker of this beautiful poodle whose tail is finally starting to grow back. (It was badly infected and chewed through.) Maybe that is the lesson of this journey and the reason why any of this happened. I would not have taken this standard poodle I have if I had your puppy. I am very sick and taking on the care and training of such a large dog is a huge responsibility, but I could not say no. If you could have seen her run in grass for the first time you would have cried, I know you would have. She did not know what the grass was that was under her feet - the prickly feeling made her lift each foot up and look for a flat spot. But then she ran around and then she realized she could RUN and she ran non-stop in huge circles for ten minutes, just full of joy and happiness. She ran up to me and gave me a kiss and ran around more and more. She ran until she collapsed on the ground from exhaustion. It is moments like that that make me realize that life and living is so important.
With all of my heart I do wish you the very best and by the way, if I could remove all the comments from this site I would. The owner/operator states that "updates" are the way that the site works, not delete, and that the best I can do is to make my "update" that mentions how I feel.
Diane, I once sat on the floor of your grooming salon and told you that I am in awe of your dogs. I said that I was in awe of you and what you do and I did mean it. You really are the very best at what you do and one other thing? You are also the nicest "poodle person" I have ever met. You have no airs about you, no snootiness, you are just happy to be raising standard poodles.
Anyone with ANY interest in owning the very best breed, the very best standards, period, should go to you because in you they will find a friend from the moment they walk through the door. You are warm and funny and very charming and they will be at ease with you immediately. Most of all, they will have a professional to answer all of the questions that they will inevitably have.
God bless and enjoy your beautiful dogs and by the way, I do hope that Jazzy is still with you and healthy now.

DEAR MR. MERSKY AND MS. TRIGANI:
I
WILLINGLY MAKE A RETRACTION FOR ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS THAT I HAVE SAID
ABOUT DIANE TRIGANI AND HER STANDARD POODLES ON THIS FREE SPEECH SITE. DUE TO A CLARIFICATION OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND MS. TRIGANI BY HER ATTORNEY, MR. SCOTT MERSKY, I HEREBY RETRACT MY NEGATIVE COMMENTS, ALL OF THEM.
I AM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY YOUR CLIENT'S WILLINGNESS TO CLARIFY AND UPHOLD THE CONTRACT THAT WE AGREED UPON.
MS. DIANE TRIGANI, PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE NICE THINGS THAT I SAID ABOUT YOU
(DIANE) ON THIS SITE WERE SAID BEFORE YOUR LETTER ARRIVED MAKING CLARIFICATIONS. I MEANT THEM. I MADE AN ATTEMPT TO STATE THAT, DESPITE MY PERSONAL ISSUES REGARDING OUR INTERACTION WITH THIS PARTICULAR POODLE, YOU RAISED AND BRED BEAUTIFUL STANDARD POODLES AND CARED ABOUT YOUR PROFESSION VERY MUCH.
I MAY HAVE AN ATTORNEY OFFER OUR OWN REBUTTALS, JUST SO THAT MRS. TRIGANI AND HER ATTORNEY ARE PRIVY TO THE FURTHER INFORMATION THAT WE HAVE, BUT INSTEAD OF STATING IT IN A PUBLIC FORUM THE REBUTTAL WILL COME PRIVATELY.
MR. MERSKY, YOUR LETTER MENTIONED "MS. TRIGANI HAS AGREED TO GIVE [ME] (1) PET QUALITY FROM A FUTURE LITTER FOR $900.00."
I MAY NOT EXERCISE THAT OPTION, BUT THE FACT THAT YOU MENTIONED THAT OPTION IN YOUR LETTER HAS MADE MY NEGATIVE FEELINGS GO AWAY AND NOW I HAVE POSITIVE REGARD FOR MS. TRIGANI AGAIN. I LOVED THE POODLE VERY MUCH THAT I GAVE BACK TO MS. TRIGANI, MY CHILDREN LOVED HER VERY MUCH ALSO. IT WOULD MEAN A GREAT DEAL TO MY CHILDREN TO ONE DAY HAVE ANOTHER POODLE TO CALL THEIR OWN.
I APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH THAT YOU HAVE BOTH TAKEN THE TIME TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT.
AGAIN, MY SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR ALL OF THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND FOR THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS. MR. MERSKY, IN PARTICULAR, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
MOST SINCERELY,
ALEXANDRA GARVIN.

This is the entire story about Diane Trigani, no lies, no anger, just the truth. I want to set the record straight with a rebuttal about you and what you said about the "deals" you wanted me to write - and the motivation for them.

I would LOVE to see you in court.
LOVE TO.
I already have spoken to attorney Stuart Address, Esq. about this last autumn. He said to give you one year to pay the $1000.00 you owe me. In the meantime, I have not been paid and as I will upload the letter from the AKC, the entire world will see that the dog's original AKC papers are in MY name and MY name only. The AKC takes the letter from the DOG DENTIST seriously enough to suspend this dog's papers.
So you say what you want to and let's go to court, shall we?
You have harmed my health.
In fact, folks, she would not part with this dog at all. It was her "pick of the litter." All of a sudden she called up my husband and decided to sell it. We bought it for $2000. She claimed that "brown teeth" were from the dog food. Called Taste of the Wild and they said otherwise. (It's good food by the way.)
So then we checked with a dog dentist. One of hers, one of mine. Her own dog dentist, in Fort Lauderdale was sent extensive pictures and what did I get in return? I was told the dog has "enamel hypoplasia." In fact, if anyone wants to email me, I'll forward his very straightforward and educational emails to you.
DIANE TRIGANI, I CHALLENGE YOU TO APPEAR IN COURT AND MY ATTORNEY WILL ASK YOU TO PRODUCE THAT DOG - THE DOG WHOSE AKC PAPERS ARE STILL IN MY NAME AND THE AKC HAS ALSO REFUSED TO TRANSFER - SO THAT WE CAN LET A JUDGE MAKE THE DECISION, SHALL WE? I WOULD LOVE THAT. AND YOU KNOW WHAT? THE DOG IS MICROCHIPPED SO I CAN PROVE THAT THE DOG IS OR IS NOT THE DOG WE HAD.
Your name slandered? That is a joke.
Folks, I have multiple sclerosis and a neutral third party was with me the night that Diane Trigani promised:
1. Give us our full $2000.00 back or
2. Give us back $1000.00 and a puppy from a future breeding
NEITHER OCCURRED AND DIANE TRIGANI DOES NOT CARE THAT A PERSON WITH A CHRONIC ILLNESS IS NOT REPAID.
DIANE TRIGANI, WHY NOT TELL THE ENTIRE WORLD WHY YOU HAVE NOT REPAID US IN FULL IN ORDER TO GET YOUR AKC PAPERS BACK? THAT, ALONE, FRIENDS SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT DIANE TRIGANI. IT WOULD AT LEAST AVOID ALL OF THIS BUSINESS ONLINE. DIANE, PAY ME AND I'LL TAKE IT ALL DOWN AND THEN YOU WILL LEGALLY RE-OWN THE DOG IN FULL AND I WILL LET THE AKC UN-SUSPEND THE PAPERS.
I will continue to warn everyone that I speak to about my TERRIBLE experiences with her.
I HOPE THE WHOLE ENTIRE UNITED STATES FINDS OUT.
In fact, I have a website going up about my dog rescue (yes, I rescue dogs and have for over 20 years, 10 years here in South Florida) and guess what. Now I have a rescue standard poodle who is beautiful and guess what? NO BROWN STAINED OR DE-ENAMELED TEETH.
See you in court, Diane Trigani, and make sure you bring MY dog, the one with MY name on the AKC papers, with you! THANK YOU AND EVERYONE - I WILL BE USING THE RETURNED MONIES FOR DOG RESCUE.
GOD BLESS THE ETHICAL BREEDERS OF THE WORLD.

I am going to post here a letter from the AKC that acknowledges that I, and only I, "own" that dog.
And folks, if Diane did indeed sell that dog, then she has an obligation to repay us $1000.
Remember Diane, that I have pictures of her teeth that I am going to produce in court.
But also, you should file a lawsuit. Let's settle it in court, shall we? I've already discussed it with two attorneys. A judge will give me back the rest of my money. I have all of your emails, including your emails about how your air conditioner has gone out and you can't afford this and you can't afford that and you are "so" broke, etc.
I would welcome a lawsuit. I'm sticking to facts. A judge will tell you to repay us immediately. I've also screen captured your response.
Facts are that you told me - with other people present one of them Maria Brown who lives near you and was with us that night - that "a few other puppies also have the same thing.
Now here is what Dr. Bellows' office said and he's a dog dentist, remember? "ENAMEL HYPOPLASIA" and he forwarded the files to me. He said, and I quote, "It is more than just staining." So are you saying that their office is wrong also?
I'll upload the letter from the AKC also.
Remember, I am owed $1000. When it is paid you get the dog's AKC papers - WHICH I STILL OWN AND ARE IN MY NAME - and when we get to court we'll ask you to produce the dog for the judge wherever she is at.
I'm sticking to facts. The facts are that you are willing to admit to the world that you have resold a dog that you have never reimbursed me for.
That says more about you than I ever could.

This will be my only post on this site, because I have hired council to file a defamation action.
Mrs. Garvin's rantings are utterly false &/or inaccurate. She conveniently left out the fact that she required me to sign two additional legally binding addendums/releases, to my original contract. Both were drafted by her many months after she took possession of the puppy. She led me to believe this completely settled this cosmetic issue.
There are absolutely No health issues with the puppy and there is no Veterinarian diagnoses for anything at all! The puppy does have a few adult stained teeth, which is not uncommon in poodles.
I re-homed the puppy with a wonderful loving family, who truly cherishes her and knows stained teeth are a cosmetic non-issue.

I am VERY HAPPY to give COMPLETE DETAILS TO ANYONE.
Contact me!
(((REDACTED)))
Not only do I have the facts straight, including PICTURES which I WILL be uploading, but I also have letters from the AKC agreeing to limit the papers of this dog, "Piper," which IS registered in MY name, Alexandra Lind, and will remain so.
The problem is ENAMEL HYPOPLASIA and anyone reading this who owns a D'Gani standard poodle should immediately go to a dog dentist and get their dog's teeth checked out promptly. Diane Trigani sent me an email saying, "Several of the puppies in this litter had the problem, but I guess Piper had it the worst."
The facts are the facts and I am happy to telephone everyone and EVERY single poodle person that I speak to I tell the same story, plus send them pictures, and ALL of them are shocked and disgusted.
Diane Trigani, you owe me another $1000.00 and when that $1000.00 is paid only then will I open up the papers to you and shut my mouth.
UNTIL THEN - I SPREAD THE WORD AS MUCH AS I AM ABLE TO!

I have been a more than satisfied client of Mrs.Trigani's standard poodles for over seven years now. My family and friends, whom have purchased her standard poodles in the past, have had absolutely no problems relating to their health. Mrs.Trigani is more than a respected groomer and breeder of standard poodles, and to my knowledge cooperates with all of AKC's policies and laws. Diane Trigani would never lie or cheat anyone out of a happy and healthy puppy. Obviously this author has no idea what she is talking about.I have never heard anything this flawed about a certified Groomer and Breeder of Standard Poodles.
