disaster one came in to remediate a small water leak from an upstairs unit to my first floor unit. They wheeled in their dehumidifier with muddy wheels onto light colored carpet and placed it in my bathroom Blocking the sink and cabinet even though we had discussed alternative placement. They wanted to charge my property management company to move the dehumidifier unit, and clean up mudd in carpet mess they left. The dehumidifire Drain hose was not sealed well and even though they threw about ten feet of moldy hose in my tub.... The dehumidifier drained onto my bathroom floor...about every hour to hour and a half For two days. Their unwillingness to accept responsibility for contributing more disaster to an already messy situation left me feeling that they are NOT masters, not professionals at their chosen line of work. I was very unsatisfied and would not recommend them to anyone. Ever.

I'm sure that the property management company is happy with your work.  With as many corners as you guys cut, I'm sure you were able to give them a GREAT price, and you and I both know that's all they care about (the bottom line).  The point I am trying to make is that your workers are inconsiderate and didn't seem to care about the HUGE mess they made in my condo and when I brought it to your attention, you were going to charge my property management company time PLUS overtime to come out and clean up a mess you should have cleaned up in the first place.  I'm sure that your guys have all these "certifications" when it comes to water removal and other things like that, but do you need a certification for common decency?  Clean up a mess after you make it???  I have two children living here and they both know that!  Your company has my phone number, if you REALLY wanted to make this right, you would call me, but so far, no call.

OliverGboro, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our customers’ satisfaction is very important to us. In fact, it’s a major part of our Vision and Values, which you can view here: http://disasterone.com/our-mission/ We continually train and educate our technicians, and they hold some of the most demanding certifications in our industry: http://disasterone.com/our-commitment/

We expect our employees to take the best possible care of our customers and restore their home or business to the way it was before the disaster.

We spoke with the management company for your homeowners association, who hired Disaster One to remediate the water damage, this morning. They assured us they are very pleased with our work and would refer Disaster One to any of their clients.  That’s great to know, but we don’t want to leave it there.

We’d welcome an opportunity to speak with you as well and address your concerns directly. Please give us a call at 336-292-3398 and ask to speak with our Greensboro Regional Manager Ron Johnson at your earliest convenience.
