Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

After reading other reviews with this company, I am embarrassed to admit that we, too, were totally taken advantage of by this company.

We booked with Divine moving in August of 2017 for a move in Sept 2017.

After we gave our initial deposit and a basic list of inventory we were told by Corey that the quality assurance manager, Brandon, would be contacting us for a complete list of all our items that needed to be moved.

Brandon contacted us a few days before our planned move and when we were going over the list of items to be moved he kept stating "Well, that wasn't on the original list".  I explained to Brandon that I was told by Corey that he would be taking the final inventory.  Brandon said that what we needed to move was way more than what could fit with our original quote and that his advice to us was to pay an additional 3,000 deposit to hold the whole semi truck for us to use.   He explained that  if we didn't use the entire truck, we would receive the money back we put down to reserve the complete semi-truck.

After giving  a further deposit, Brandon told us that Best Moving Company would be arriving on the designated date to move us.  What?  We were under the impression that Divine Moving Company was going to pick up and deliver our furniture in 3-5 days!  Instead at this time we were told that they were just the broker.

Unfortunately, we believed the ever so smooth Brandon and put our trust in him that things would indeed work out the way he told us.  He even said "You guys should go out and have a nice steak dinner knowing that it's all been handled".

When Best Moving Company arrived to move us, they came with 2- 26 ft trucks rather than a semi-truck.  They said they were told by Divine moving that this would be sufficient.  (We were moving a small ranch which is why we thought we had reserved the complete semi-truck)

We were told by Best Moving that Brandon had misinformed us and that they never reserve whole trucks but instead charge by the cubic foot.

I'm sure at this time you are thinking that we really are a couple of fools, and you'd be right.   We took Brandon's word instead of reading the pages of fine print.  A lesson learned by a couple of honest people who weren't used to negotiating with dishonest, lying and completely untrustworthy people.

So now, we have two trucks instead of a semi, and all of our items won't fit in these two trucks.  We had already put a deposit down of over 3,000 and were told by Best Movers that it would be an additional 3000-4000 more than what we were quoted for the full use of the both of their trucks.

We didn't have a lot of options at this point and tried to get Brandon on the phone to talk to him.  We were able to reach the woman taking calls who was in charge of the weekend calls at this time.  She said she was unable to reach Brandon and he wasn't returning her calls.  She was insistent that she needed to know whether we were going to use Best Movers or if she needed to have them drive back the 6 hours they had come from Las Gatos, CA in order to move us.  We told her that we would let her know after talking to Brandon.  (This was now about 5 pm. pacific time and 8 pm Florida time)

Brandon finally called us back, his voice dripping with sugary sweetness.  He asked to talk to the guy in charge at Best Movers who was sitting and waiting for the word on whether to load our stuff or not.

We had the phone on speaker when we handed it to the mover and Brandon said to him:  "What the fu-- are you doing telling the customers that it's gonna cost them another 3,000 more when you haven't even got their stuff on the truck?  Get their sh-- on the truck and we will get you your money or they won't get their sh-- back."  The mover tried explaining to Brandon that he didn't work that way and he needed to keep his customers, workers and boss happy and this was not how he handled business.

Brandon continued using foul language and calling the mover "Bro" in which the mover corrected him by saying "I'm not your Bro" After a yelling match in which Brandon continued to belittle the mover and act as if this were the movers fault, the phone was passed back to us.  Brandon switched back to his sugary sweet voice and told us that it was all handled and to let the movers load our stuff and that we wouldn't be charged any extra.

Brandon was totally unaware that we had heard the whole conversation he had had with the mover at this time.  We once again repeated back to him what he had told us as far as what the terms were and that we wouldn't be charged any extra, we informed Brandon that we had heard the whole conversation (And also recorded some of it) that he had with the mover.  Brandon at that time stated to us "You'd better find yourself a good attorney" and hung up the phone.

Unfortunately, Best Movers did not get our items to us for over a month, many were broken and some didn't even belong to us.

The whole thing has been a nightmare!
