DIY MODKITS DAVID BANKS, FRED MARTIN, NATHANIEL A MAYO, SPECNER AND CHRIS TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A HARDSHIP WOMAN, AND RIPPED OFF $995, AND ASKED FOR MORE Peoria Arizona
I was called by Nathaniel Mayo with DIY MODKITS, who gaurenteed, I would qualify for a home modification, and if i had a HARDSHIP and did not get the Modification I would be 100% re-inbursed. I explained I was going through a Major Hardships, recently seperated, and my mother was battling Ovarian Cancer the second time. So I was very SKEPTICAL TO send the money they asked for to get the procedure going. Playing on my emotions, I was told I didn't have anything to worry about that I would get it back if I did not qualify GUARENTEED. I explained to several employees, Nathaniel, David, Spencer, Chris, and Fred how this $995.00, is a big part of my travel expenses to get my mother back and forth to her appointments but I also need a lower mortgage payment that could help monthly also. After I didn't qualify they asked me for an ADDITIONAL, $495.00 TO DO A FORENSIC AUDIT ON THE MORTGAGE COMPANY, and They would definately gaurentee, the lower interest rate and payment. I said no way would I send more money. I asked to send my money back, they sent me their DIY CANCELLATION REQUEST FOR CANCELLATION REPORT, I sent it as soon as I got it. I had not heard from them, so as my mother lay in her hospital bed from yet another surgery to remove her cancer, I called and asked about my refund. They said they never got the request for cancellation, so I sent 2 by mail, one certified, and several by email. They were RETURNED in the mail.. I tried calling several times and the automated system answers and said "Not taking calls at this time, leave a message", and it was full. FINALLY ABOUT 1 YEAR LATER, I got through to a NEW EMPLOYEE. I was called back at my home from trying a new number they had no record from, the man on the phone said he was the OWNER and we set a designated time to have a phone conference with all the people I had worked with, I called at the designated time and the autamated answering machine answsered, and I have never been able to get through again. The mail I send gets returned, and the email's all come back as not an email..I even sent pictures of my mom to prove to them I was not lying about my mom's cancer. DIY MODKITS IS A BIG HOAX AND PREYS ON PEOPLE WITH HARDSHIPS AND ARE DESPERATE AND THEY TAKE OUR HARD EARNED CASH.. THIS IS A MAJOR SKAM AND I WISH I COULD DO MORE THAN FILE THIS REPORT TO STOP THEM FROM HURTING SOMEONE ELSE FINANCIALLY LIKE THEY DID ME. I would like to speak to a Lawyer, BBB, or Attorney General about this FRAUDULANT COMPANY!.
