On wendsday Dec. 7, 2011 at about 7:30 pm I returned to the Dollar Tree store in the Mar Lee shopping center where I had spent a lot of money over the year to return defective merchandise, namely two packages of dead batteries, defective flashlights to a short dark complexioned , young female manager who had seen me as a customer many times before.  I told her that the products were defective and wanted my money back or other merchandise.  She was not friendly at all, but said to go pick out what I wanted.

I went and picked out several food items I needed and returned to the manager, at the cash register.  She then informed me that it had to be non-food items.  I was shocked and amazed at this.  She then proceeded to repeat that she had told me that the exchange could only be non-food items, etc., etc. , "it was company policy, etc., etc."  She said that she was not going to be fired for making an exception for me,  etc.  I told her that that policy was ridiculous, and it was against the law to sell defective merchandise.  I told her this several times and that I was going to report her to the Denver, District Attorney consumer fraud office as soon as possible.  she just gave me my items back and said to go ahead, etc.

She did not say "I am sorry", or any apology whatsoever.  Absolutely no fear of losing a good customer.  What kind of company is this with no ethics about selling defective merchandise.  I think all the  packages of batteries at the store were dead or very weak, and non working defective flashlights.

Now this is why this calls for a boycott and a class action lawsuit against Dollar Tree in working class and minority neigborhoods everywhere.. The upper management fully knows that these areas are filled with non-complaining and disenfranchised immigrants, many of whom are illegals from many countries---not just mexico!!   This equals pure economic fraud and collective discriminataion!

Something must be done against this unethical economic practice by Dollar Tree Stores!

Maybe the illegal immigrants who feel cheated by their local Dollar Trees ought to go back where they came from and live legally over there and see how well they fare shopping at their native Dollar Tree equivalents.

Maybe the other "poor" people irked by their local Dollar Trees ought to do something constructive in life that at least affords them the flexibility to shop further afield from their neighborhoods, assuming of course that nay number of these folks truly distrust their Dollar Trees, as you seem to believe.

Maybe if they did something to improve their situations, they could afford slightly more upscale, better quality goods than the dollar store knockoffs.

Maybe YOU ought to not act like an idiot with a low paid "manager" of a dollar store, ranting about calling the DA yada yada, over a set of dead batteries, when she clearly had rigid orders on how to deal with returns. If you had an issue with the return policy, you had the option of later calling their corporate offices. To rant at a clerk (manager "title" notwithstanding) who can't risk losing their job just because you are inconvenienced by their orders, is very, very stupid!
Class action suit! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Do you listen to yourself when you rant? Do you read back what you write before submitting, to maybe give it a second thought?

No law firm takes on any suit, let alone class action, unless there are verifiable paper trails evidencing a fraud or misrepresentation, AND the promise of a major payoff in the end. I'm sure your dead batteries wouldn't qualify.
