Complaint Review: Dominick's Italian Resturant - Oxnard California

In 2005, me and my current boyfriend decied to go to dominick's for dinner. it was suposed to be a nice night considering it was our anniversary. however, it turned out to be very annoying and frustrating indeed.

First of all, we had to wait a long time to be sat at a table, then when we got there we were given no menu from the hostess. wait, isnt that what youre supposed to do when youre seated, give somebody the menu? anwyays, we blew it off and figured the waitress would be coming soon, and would just give it to us. but no, we waited for about 20 minutes with no menu, no service. i was beginning to feel like we were being ignored, but not just becuase it was busy, but because on purpose for some reason.

So i got up and went to the cash register and there were two people there, i asked "can i get a menu?, can i get any service tonight?" they looked annoyed at me and just laughed. ok, this is when i really got pissed off, i mean i was about to punch somebody (the girl laughing at me) in the face, but i calmed down and walked back to the table. a few moments later the same girl came to the table and pretty much threw our menus at us.

After that things cooled down, our waitress finally came, acted like nothing was wrong, didnt apologize for any of the inconveniences. she mustve known what had happened. the food was nothing to remember anyways. i think i left without giving a tip, then again, my boyfreind mightve left one out of pity.

i was so disapinted with dominick's. i really didnt think they could be that bad, i mean i know other people that have said they dont have the best of service, but i never thought it would be so rude! we had oreded from dominick's before but takeout becuase we liked thier calzones. so i thougt, what the heck, why not go out to dinner there. but i was horribly wrong. the service was outrageous.

im never going back there again. i dont reccomend anybody else the same, unless you want your night to be ruined, and your nerves to be tested.

why they treated us that way im not sure, but i kinda have a feeling its one or more of the following things:

1. my boyfreind was mexican so maybe it had something to do with that. yes, i am implying that they could be racist. if that is the case, then i dont know why the HELL they are in oxnard, since 80% of its population is hispanic.

2. girls hate on other girls if they are pretty. im not saying im the most gorgeous girl in the world, but if they were jealous of me, they are no position to take it out on me especially at work.

3. i had a boyfriend. another jealousy issue here.

4. they hate thier job. does this have something to do with a bad owner?

5. we werent regulars. again this really would be ridiculous, becuase if you have a new customer, then you want to treat them with more respect than ever, so they CAN BE regulars. looks like there some common sense deficiencies going on here.

they could vow all of this happened becuase it was just busy, but that would be something to cover it up right? i really do feel like i was treat with disrespect that night ON PURPOSE, not just becuase it was busy. and even if that was the case, thats no excuse becuase if you know your resturant gets busy, then you make room to accomodate by hiring more people, to prevent something like this happening, getting your name soiled. KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
