AM South Bank took over my mortgage and ultimately got by with stealing my house. I was paid up to date on all payments, yet they claimed I missed one payment during their transition of taking over the mortgage from First American National Bank. I had sent that payment to First American National Bank, and afterwards received a letter from AM South telling where to mail the new payments. By law, they were late on getting the required new address info mailed out(I think on purpose).

But I had my receipt, and they didn't care and started adding on a lot of late fees, which I couldn't pay and didn't owe. I tried to make the next due payment to the new address they sent, and they applied it to the late fees, then added more late fees. The next payment I went in person to pay at a local AM South Bank, but they refused to take it saying I wasn't in their computer system anymore and they couldn't take it because they had started foreclosure.

I received a foreclosure letter a few days later. I tried one more time to make that month's payment at a different branch of the bank and they accepted my payment and gave me a receipt. But the ones handling the foreclosure ignored it.

They forced me to file bankruptcy to save me house. I was making the payments on the bankruptcy regular and on time. Then they raised my payment amount on the bankruptcy. I knew by law, they weren't supposed to do that, and told them so. But they ignored me. So I kept making the increased payments on time anyway.

They again, raised the monthly amount on the bankruptcy, really high. I made one more payment. Then I couldn't come up with the higher payment, and they foreclosed, and literally set us out of the house. My daughter was living there and had just come home with a premature baby who almost died and was in neonatal intensive care before coming there. I pleaded for them to at least wait a couple of weeks until the baby was stronger. We had the "It's a boy" decorated announcement on the front door. They walked right past it and set us and our things out on the ground, the baby too, and it was cool weather. I have a video of them doing these things that day and their sarcastic coldness.

Dovenmuehle was some kind of sub-company affiliated with AM South Bank that worked in the background, yet seemed to be more in control. I don't understand it all. But I kept all the documentation of everything.

The icing on the cake was this: I called an attorney while it was happening who said he would help me and that I had a good case for a lawsuit. I went in the next day and paid the attorney all the money I had left, $500. When my court date came up, he didn't even show up for me. He is another rip-off I will report. The attorney's name is Bill Speak in Chattanooga, TN. He's a smooth talker, but a cold-hearted legal theif!

Original Title should read: Dovenmuehle Mortgage in Connecticut And AM South Bank in Chattanooga,TN Worked Together. I did not type the word "Nationwide" at the end of the title, and it should not be there. Thank you.

This corrupt firm is a front company for many lenders. Get away from them now by refinancing with a reputable lender. This is a very mis-managed lending institution, try calling the home office and talk to the manager Billie Sallinas. Get ready for the run around.
