I want to make an apology for making this report as if I could remove it I would, I am not a fan of ripoff report as they don’t allow authors to remove or delete or alter reports. No one is perfect as when wrote this report I was upset and now time has passed I had a change of heart and that I want to say I am sorry for writing it.

Changing my review on this review. Since I began this report I have been uspet the way the Movie Experience has been doing business. While I am not 100% with their theaters I have began going to their theaters again even though the price is high, I am sorted regretting my report about them.
Yes, they do not do a good job managing their theaters such as talking, people texting, feet on chairs, staff reading college book at the tickets booths, gum on screens and etc. While not perfect I am sure many other theaters have the same problem.
So with that said I am giving them a C rating for being in business under tough times. I will do busines with them again as I have been.
I just hope they will continue to slighty improve if they will continue to try to make their customers happy.

This place is a full ripoff, if you walk in the place after paying $9.50 after 2am matinee times, you'll understand this place is indeed 110% a ripoff. It is indeed outdated and never maintained properly. The seats are squeaky; lot of students put their feet on the chairs being totally disrespectful to the other viewers when the seats sit so low, you can see nothing but heads and big hats in front of you. The audio is also terribly outdated as well, you can hear the how old they are if they have an action movie playing. Really for $9.50 for a matinee ticket, they certainly are in the negative here. It is also true the place is run by misinformed college students and also the manager, another mismanaged college student, who doesn't even know how to run the place or make orders to respond to complaints to see customers are happy. They think just to raise the price, again and again and again where parking is terrible and you have to pay for parking to see a movie unless you want to walk several blocks away to get free parking. They also do not have ushers, forget about asking them to ask people to quit talking, they avoid complaints on every level. Food just like all of them, all high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup and trans fats foods for a ripoff. Everything they sell too, is all noisy wrap candies. If you can, rent a movie or go online go look on torrents and see the movie for free online. With how bad the economy is, this movie theater is not in anyway understanding for how people are surviving to entertain on a cheap budget. To me, they deserve an F letter grade.

It's a movie theater. No duh that its employees are students from Cuesta/Cal Poly. Who else in their right minds would work for minimum wage??? Kind of a stupid notion to expect fully grown and mature adults. It's a small college town with thousands of kids that need jobs, and guess what, working at a theater isn't rocket science. So that's where they go, that's who goes for minimum wage jobs, not MBAs.... smart one. It's a movie theater in a small town, which also compared to all other theaters in the area is cheaper (within the county). No I'm not counting the Palm, as it's a completely different set of movies. I'm not going to note my relation to the company or any employees, but sorry, they may have sold out shows, but that place is making no money. Hence the current lack of service they have now, they are starting to skimp on employees. Any person with a clue knows that movie theaters don't keep ticket money, the ticket sales kind of go to you know...the movie companies that made the movies!!! That's why snacks are so highly priced...that's where a theater makes its money and pays for its employees, kind of a no brainer if you just look at it. , not to mention the snack bar staff will actually recommend to customers to go hit up 7-11 for candy and drinks as its cheaper. And Downtown Centre actually allows consumers to bring in their own snacks, unlike a lot of theaters out there. Their only restrictions are hot coffee and booze. sounds sensible to me. Lighten up a little bit man, the General Manager of the place wasn't even a business major, she may be failing miserably, but she's trying. the corporate people won't shell out the bucks to pay for a real manager. Their corporate offices are what are the biggest joke, as you said your letter went un-answered. They won't even acknowledge letters or complaints from their own employees. So.... yeah.... let's put the blame on them. If you want a joke of a theater, try the fremont. the GM there is a complete stoner joke. Not to mention a total sleazeball. I've never noticed downtown centre's bathrooms to be dirty, always pretty clean unless some jackass didn't flush the toilet.
