Dr. Energy Saver/Basement Systems Mark Tannenbaum Larry Janesky DES canceled my dealership without warning, notice, or valid reason. I have invested tens of thousands of dollars in the Dr. Energy Saver dealership. Seymour Connecticut
In 2016 I purchased a Dr. Energy Saver Dealership (DES) in Kansas, flew to CT for training on several occasions, and followed all their rules and regulations, including but not limtied to "must faithfully purchase materials from Dr. Energy Saver".
In additional to providing home comfort services (DES), we also provide water damage restoration, mold remediation, and basement waterproofing, etc. Right from the very beginning of our dealership, we purchased other products offered through the parent company Basement Systems, including sump pumps and other waterproofing products. We spent thousands of dollars on these other non DES products, which were also available to DES dealers.
I thought everything was fine until we received a letter just last week stating the following, "offering competitive basement waterproofing products in an existing basement systems dealer's area is not tenable for us moving forward." WHOA! I purchased a Dr. Energy Saver dealership, not a Basement Systems dealership. And because I'm offering waterproofing, which they new from the git-go!, they now revoke my dealership and I lose big time on my investment with DES.
The dealer referenced that evidently complained is Thrashers Basement Systems out of ElDorado, KS. THey obviously saw me as a competitor in their territory and complained that I was offering basement waterproofing as a DES dealer and had me kicked out of the dealership.
I always played by the rules, and let my yes mean yes! I never received any cautions or warnings. But because a dealer in the other network Basement Systems compained, I was terminated as a dealer 1/31/18.
This company is guilty of fraud & deceit!!!
