I asked him why he isn't a member of the AMA. He said that all he did was send them money to be on their list, and then they spent that money on political agendas, not medical ones. Dr. Selod said that he supports his political candidates individually, and no longer wanted to send money to a political PAC, so he quit being a member. He is a member of the Texas physicians group, is on almost every insurance accepted list, and has been listed as a triple-A orthopedic surgeon in North Texas for several years running. If you do any research on him at all, you'll find no complaints about his care, and he's been a Workers Compensation physician for a couple of decades without any complaints. So, while he's not a member of the AMA, he's a great surgeon, and a good doctor. He worked with me on my knees and neck - he won't do surgery except as a last resort, is a big believer in therapy & exercise, and cares about the long-term welfare of his patients. I highly recommend him.
