On February 3, 20090 Mike  Cioppa from Employee Success University called and invited us to attend a seminar he was holding at the Courtyard Marriott on March 17 in Providence , RI. The cost was $147 and we had to mail the check to him in advance. We reviewed his web site and called the hotel to make sure there was even an event scheduled for that day. All seemed fine. It was promised  that we would receive a "Welcome Package " that would include 10 tickets to the seminar,  as well as a breakdown of the companies that will be attending ( size, industries, demographics, etc) to allow us to tailor our presentation to these individuals.

The package never arrived, even after sending a few emails inquiring.

On March 9, we received and email from his "assistant "  Nadia Ellis that said Mike had been in and out of the hospital which is why they have been out of communication, but the event has grown larger than anticipated.

On March 16 ( day before event) we received an email reporting that the seminar scheduled for tomorrow have been cancelled due to Mikes serious illness, but we would be receiving a full refund within 7-10 days and when the event is rescheduled, we would be allowed to participate at no charge.

We have never heard from Mike again, even after numerous calls and emails.

In June, I called the Providence Courtyard Marriott t inquire if the event had been rescheduled. The response was that Mike had never sent in a deposit and cancelled at the last minute. He has been  red flagged on their list for the future.

Interestingly, if you Google his name and follow the links to his  blogs, Mike Cioppa was posting on his blog on March 24.

My story is the exact same as others posting on the Rip-Off Report. I wish I had found this site before sending in my money. Mike cowardly hides behind the anonymity of the internet and continues to play this scam.
