Complaint Review: Dr Robert R Beltran MD FACS - Irvine California

I am suprised to see negative reports on Dr. Beltran. My first experience with him was 10 years ago. He worked on my deviated Septum and also performed a rhino-plasty on me. I could not have been happier and have since referred 6 friends for nose jobs. All of which are just as happy as I am. When I decided I wanted a breast aug and some other minor cosmetice procedures, I of course went to him first. I again was greeted by the same professional staff and Dr. Beltran could not be more personable and warm. I decided to go to 3 other doctors in the Orange County area for consultations and none made me feel as comfortable as Dr. Beltran. Even some that had reputable practices and were willing to do it for cheaper. Everything was smooth from my initial consultation to my last post op. The surgical experience again was very pleasant. His nurses were fantastic and it was great to see that his same anestesiologist was still with him and has been for 18 years. I am so happy with my final result and I get asked all the time who did them because they look so natural. I cannot honeslty say enough about my positive experience and hope that this helps anyone who is interested.

I read the other reports and really can't believe them, except that anyone can write anything and everyone's experience can be different. I had a face lift with Dr. Beltran and he was great. His bedside manner was professional and kind and his office staff were attentive. After surgery I got very worried after some of the swelling went down and my lower eyelids were droppy so at my own expense I saw a specialist in Los Angeles who specializes in 'plastic surgery gone bad' and he disagreed, thought my outcome would be good as soon as I was done healing (a year) and he felt Dr. Beltran did a great job. He also explained to me something that Dr. Beltran told me but I really didn't listen to, as I am guessing many people don't listen either. Plastic surgery is not absolutely precise. Everyone's skin is different, everyone heals differently and everyone has a different perception of what perfection is. My eyes healed nicely and a year later, when there was a tiny dimple in my nose that I was slightly unhappy with the Dr. fixed it for free. My face is not perfect, it was not perfect when I went to see the Dr., but my face looks nice and refreshed and that is what I wanted. Thank you Dr.!

I was a victim of Dr. Beltran years ago. He did the exact same thing to me as others had complain about. He failed to inform me that he is not trained in breast augmentations and eyelid surgeries. Since I am not in the medical field, I didn't know that doing these surgeries require different experience than he had at the time. I paid him for two pairs of saline implants and ended up with silicon implants of the wrong size. He used some other patients' spare implants on me. What a sick dude!!! Two is always ordered and paid for in case one set breaks during surgery, so the extra pair can be used. In my case, He inserted leaking implants into me. I continuously get bruises and skin problems around both of my breasts until I removed them in after less than 6 years. I did an MRI or whatever you call it, and that show I have leaking implants, so I got them remove. New ones were put into me by a well qualify surgeon and I still have them in and its; been over 12 years now and never had anymore skin problem or bruises on my breast anymore. Dr. Beltran didn't even know how to insert implants properly. One side of the breast cavaity was very tight causing one of my breast to feel really tight. The other problem was he did eyelid surgeries on me. I got uneven eyelid creases. He told me he will fix it and just wait like 3 to 6 months. I went back and it is still the same and no change with time. He told me to wait for the swelling to go completely down and that usullay takes about 6 months. I went back and he pretty much told me to take a hike. He is praise what a fine job he did to my eyes. What??? I had double asian eyelid before I went into surgery and have tons of photos to proof it. He treated me like I was an asian with no creases on my eyes and he give it to me. I went to him in an attempt to remove an extra crease located on the inner corners of both of my eyes. I went to several surgeons and he was the only one told me he can do it. Little did I know he is a quack and shouldn't work on eyelids which require special training. Please put a stop to this big liar who is also a quack. He is greedy and into taking your money with false promises.

You can find more complaints about Dr Beltran if you look hard enough. Like some people using this site, all they have is their opinion. Lets go with the facts. I am sure you will come up with some excuse for this below: State medical board has reprimanded or taken licenses from a dozen OC doctors so far this year. The Orange County Register The state medical board has disciplined 12 Orange County doctors this year, including four who lost their licenses for violations from dealing drugs to bilking Medicare, according to documents recently released by the board. Here are the board's accusations against the doctors, and the disciplinary actions taken: Dr. Robert Rudy Beltran, a plastic surgeon in Irvine, was reprimanded in April and accused of not telling a patient before performing a thigh-lift procedure that he was trained in ear, nose and throat surgery. Beltran was also cited for allegedly failing to appropriately treat the post-surgical wound complications and for not keeping accurate medical records. Beltran said he has contested the wording in the board's reprimand and said they misrepresented the facts in the case

Robert Beltran is a very corrupt physician. I saw him take advantage of many patients over the course of two years. He also commits insurance fraud on the majority of his cases. He has no concern for his patients and only cares about making money. Read the Orange County Register, 2006, Thigh Lift Article. I hope people read this and learn about him before it is too late.
