Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Reading a lot of dept stories with driver solutions so i figured id tell mine.im in debt now over 7,000$ with 18% interest a month.thats about 90$ interest a month and if u pay their minimum monthly of 150$,ur really only paying 60$.How did it come to this??

Went to the ASU school that drivers solutions set me up with, completed training and got hired with USA TRUCK,which i cant dog on the money i was making.Hear nightmare stories about pam,but with USA, i was makin in or over 500$ a week most of the time.Driver solutions deal is this...if u complete one year of work with the company they set u up with,u dont have to pay the 4G's for training, just about a 1G amount that gets deducted from ur check each month.

So...follow me now...im in my 10 month,..only a few hundred dollars left to pay and 2 months and boom, paid Driver Solutions off and all is gravy, but i get pulled over for torn mudflap, searched, cause the rookie d****e cop thought "carrying pallets only is suspicious".My hand to God this next part is true.He finds a pill amongst a bunch of cough medication pills, advil, tylenol in a bottle that the driver who carried me from my house to USA truck for my first day.Was sick,so guy gave me some cough medicine but was unaware of his anti inflammatory pills in the bottle. So,get arrested,Possesion of Dangerous Drug.Explain to DA the story, charges get reduced to Poss of drug paraphenalia..Could not take it to court because USA truck didnt have the resources,or so i was told...,to find the guy that picked me up that day.I think they just didnt give a s**t and saw this little pill popping druggy and said f*** off.

I told usa what happened. All they cared about was that their truck had to be towed and their cargo was late because of my arrest.they treated me like s**t.Now f***ing DRIVER SOLUTIONS....keep sending me mail sayin i owe this debt...4G and change.I steam and say f*** u and threw the letters in the trash every time they came cause im angry and feel i was treated unfair by USA and was innocent of my charges and never would have gotten fired if USA had only tracked down the guy that accidently gave me his sinus meds(or whatever anti inflammatory pills are) so i could bring it to trial.

So present day,two years later,go for home loan, check my credit, see a whopping 7,800$ bill from Driver Solution.Call em,explain,...its outta their hands they say..ull get taken to court eventually....we've never lost a case.AND 18% INTEREST!!CROOKS!!BOTTOM LINE NO BUTS ABOUT IT.I wouldv been happy to pay off my remainiing debt cause im a stand up guy,but for them to say contracts are contracts.....Even if the company they set u up with fires u for no good reason before the years up,u owe them mega bucks.they dont care. They'll just say,u signed the contract. So now ill be paying this for about 10 years,150$ a month with 18% interest EACH MONTH.I'm sorry but they are MOTHERF***ING CROOKS.

Do not go with Driver Solutions. It sounds great, but it could go horribley wrong as easy as ur Driver manager not liking before the years up and firing u.Its just burns my a*s  cause i know i didnt do anything wrong that day,was unaware of the pill or pills that was mixed in with that bottle, got this charge thats following me now forever,USA didnt help and driver solutions wants my $$$$ which they don't deserve.Goddamn Crooks...

In my case,it was just bad luck, but if u dont complete that full year, ull be owing several thousand dollars and there is not a thing u can do about it.Just pay it off quick is my best advice.Sorry..I f***ing hate Driver Solutions, burns me up everytime i think about them takin money out of my account every month.Find ur training somewhere else.Take it from me and the other stories ive read on this and other sites. This is no bullshit and this can screw up ur life with debt and credit.]

-Looking out...Matt

You stated they found a pill mixed in with other pills that they found in the truck.....a truck you had been driving for 10 months.

The is a ZERO tolerance drug policy in place. Whether you were actually responsible...or not....you violated the policy by having that pill. Have you ever watched the tv show cops...lets use it as an example. How many times do you see them pull someone over, and they find illegal drugs on them or in the car....a bunch. They find the drugs in cigarette packs, shoes, bottles, hidden in glove boxes, backpacks etc etc.  And 9 times out of 10 the person being questioned says "those aren't mine", but they are still in posession of said drugs, so they are responsible.

You got pulled over for a torn mudflap, that is a very valid reason for being pulled over. You should have had the mudflap replaced.

They searched because hauling pallets was suspicious. Well proper paperwork would have shown the officer this, however Police do find ways to come up with a "reasonable doubt" in order to search vehicles. I'm going to have to agree with you that he was fishing for a reason to search the truck, however you do have the right to request a warrant for such a search when it involves the personal space of the truck....meaning the sleeper area.

Regardless of why he made the search, he found ILLEGAL drugs in your possesion. Drugs you should have known about 10 months prior. Whether you agree with me or not, the drugs in question were in your posession and you are held responsible. It is in your utmost responsibility to know what is in your truck and your posession at all times.

You wanted the company to find the other driver....why would they? Regardless of what happened, in the companies eyes it became a he said/he said situation. There is no reason for a company to bring another driver into this dispute, because that openes them up to a world of litigation of it turns out they falsely accused him. Yeah Yeah I know, You are telling the truth, what do you think the other guy is going to say....probably along the lines of "I don't know what you are talking about." If you did find this driver, would he willingly go to court and tell a judge that he provided you with that pill.....That conversation would also probably go something along the lines of "I have no idea what you are talking about."

The fact is this, You got busted for having a controlled substance illegally in your possesion. There is a policy that states ZERO TOLERANCE on such issues, therefore you are terminated, end of story.

The contract you signed for financing the school is therefore broken and you are now responsible for the payment presented to you in the contract. You were not forced by gun or any other means to sign the contract. In fact, Drivers Solutions tells you from day one on your driver account page the terms of the contract. They also give you 3 different options for paying the contract. You can select 100% financing with a 1 year commitment, You can select to make a small down payment with a 1 year contract and more per mile, or you could have paid in full with no contract.

Say what you will about "starter" companies, the companies that will sponsor the cdl portion of training for little or no money, the fact of the matter is that they do invest a good amount of time and money into each student. For every 1 student such as yourself, there are many more who go on and make it a success. Contrary to popular beleif, these companies do not get "paid" simply by rushing you through school. And drivers solutions might get some governemnt money from you graduating, but they really have nothing to do with you continuing with the career at USA Truck. USA Truck is more than happy to pay off the loan at the end of the term for those who work hard and follow the rules. I graduated from C1 in 2008 with drivers solutions and have been with USA Truck ever since. With the 7 people I graduated with only one didn;t make it the first year....and guess what....he broke the rules. He ran a stop sign in Baltimore, and caused an accident, there were a bunch of witnesses....he ended up having to pay back the full amount. My Time with USA Truck has been great. Do what they ask, don't ruffle any feathers, act professional, be safe, report problems and maintenance immediately, and don't ever turn down a load you can legally get done.....I get a consistant 2700 + miles a week, took me a while to get to this point, and a lot of hard work, but you get out of it what you put into it.

I'm sorry you feel as though you were wronged, however, whether you admit it or not, you broke the rules.

For the record, I am not a manager or an officer of this company, I am here just to rebut what I see as an obvious one sided story. Please keep in mind for every person who logs a complaint on a board such as this, there are 10 people who don't have any issues....just head down to a local truckstop and talk to the drivers there. Sure you find a few disgruntled or unhappy drivers, but I'd bet you find a lot more happy ones. Usually the happy ones are the quiet guys sitting in the corner enjoying the cofee....the disgruntled ones are the loud ones giving everyone else a hard time.

USA Truck Inc and Driver Solutions - Scam!!

Drvier Solutions and USA Truck offer this deal that if you attend Driver Solutions and get your CDL and work with USA Truck for a year that you will only have to pay $1,000 on your tution. Sounds like a good deal right? I thought it was, but it is not. If you get fired for any reason Driver Solutions will come after you for the whole amount on the tuition. I should have looked into it further, but I did not. By doing this companies can go through new drivers like crazy and not have to pay the school and then the students get stuck with the tab.

I was one of those students. I had just went out on my own and been oue only a week when I had a minor accident. Minor because only a few goods were damaged and the pole that I hit only got some scratches. I did not know I had hit the pole until after the fact. I reported the accident as soon as I knew that I had hit the pole. I called the police and the company and told them what had happened. I was told that I could sleep in the truck until Monday when they would know what they were going to do.

So here I am stuck up at the terminal in Carlisle, PA with no way to shower or do my laundry or transportation to get something to eat over the weekend. I then find out that my Dispatcher has been trying to get ahold of me the whole weekend. Never got anything on the qualcomm or a call from him on my cell phone. I then find out that they had already decided to fire me on Friday, but made me wait until Monday to send me home. They did not even give me a notice of termination either. Not only that they took the bus ride home out of my last pay check.

I am currently disputing this through the U.S. Department of Labor. I then tried to get unemployment and they have blocked me from getting my unemployment from not only them but from my previous employers. I was told that I was disqualified because I was fired for misconduct. I have had an excellent work record up until now and I am having a hard time finding a job any where, not jsut the trucking industry. Misconduct does not look good on a resume. They are all crooks. I havnt heard much from Driver Solutions since contacting my attorney general here in Arkansas.

I agree...this school is such a scam.Ive been paying on this school for years and the balance seems to not be going anywhere.Long story short, this school just cares about getting their money.Ive been paying on it for 4 yrs now.The tution was $6400 and ive been paying $150 on it this whole time and my balance is still $4100.The trucking companys they fix you up with dont really even want you,but they will use and abuse you for about 9 months.Mean while knowing well after your year there, they find the dumbest things to fire you for so they dont have to pay your tution.I was fired at Decker because i yelled out "im trying" when I was learning my trainers way of gear shifting which was "not" double clutching.....ya thats right.Fired because i was double clutching.2 weeks later.....school says;"you owe us $6000.$200/mo...at 18%interest.Keep reading all the reviews.Theres so many and much much more at different web sites.Luckily for me,this school gave me the ambition to be in law school.I have 1.5yrs of school left and when im finished,I will be coming after this school. The contract is void and legit and anyone that knows anything about a binding contract and rules according to federal regulations, this school would have lost business along time ago.So just be patient and you wont have to worry about this issue too much longer. They've got it coming to them.
