As a Seller on ebay, I sold 2 prs of very expensive already worn Edward Green shoes at $250 ea or $500 both. Being bought in England, I used a size conv chart. Although chart was flawed, I listed shoe inside length, toe-heel in inch & cm. Buyer was alerted to this by email and advised to check before purchase. He bought and paid Paypal $500.  Soon afterward, he tells ebay the shoes are too small, I told ebay I'd make refund but to wait for my confirm that I got the shoes back & said same to buyer. So Mike Seidel of Baltimore, MD sends me an old pair of pants, verifies w/ebay shipmt sent to me and ebay refunds all $500 without even making an effort to contact me. I still had to pay ebay fees and Paypal fees. Ebay says they do not check return shipments.  I appealed their decision and was denied.  So here I am, out about $200 plus my merchandise I thouight I'd sold for $500.  Ebay lied to me twice, did nothing to verify I'd received my shoes back and therefore provided a legal avenue for unscrupulous people to steal using ebay as an online buy/sell medium.  Worst of it is, ebay won't even consider my side of the story and have denied all appeals and requests for help.  I'm out about $700.

Ebay Made Good; Mike Seidel is still a theif

Ebay finally saw my complaint and reimbursed my loss created by Mike Seidel who instead of returning my merchandise, sent an old pair of pants so he could keep my merchandise and be reimbursed.  I had the emails to prove it and submitted all if it to Ebay and I think Ebay reviewed the recorded conversations I had where they said they would do something and didn't do it.  Beware of this guy Mike Seidel.  He's an outright theif and remains so.  He never resonded to any of my letters even when I accused him of being a theif he didn't respond.  Ebay on the other hand was very understanding and even apologized to me.  I got help from the Better Busines Bureau.  Good luck everyone.  I hope you get a satisfactory resolution to your problem like I did.

With the help of the Better Business Bureau, Ebay reimbursed my loss and I accepted their apology as well as their solution.  I just hope they change their policies so this kind of thing doesn't happen to someone else.  The guy who ripped me off was Mike Seidel from Mt Washington, MD.  Beaware of this guy. Unscrupulous and dishonest.
