I was selling a classic car on ebay. All of a sudden, I get an email that my auctions have been cancelled for suspected fraud. Not only that, but ALL my bidders were contacted by ebay and were told that I was under investigation for fraud, and that they shouldn't deal with me. This was to say the least, SLANDEROUS. After a week of this crap, ebay released my account and said it was a mistake, I still have all the emails 2 years later. However, they never contacted the other bidders to tell them it was an EBAY screwup, and let them know I wasn't the crook they said I was. I wrote them several times, but as you can guess, I never got a response. Luckily, my reputation preceded me and it didn't hurt me, but what about the poor guy who is just starting out?

You didn't put in any specifics to your report. I've been on Ebay for years, and never received email about someone I purchased from, nor have I had any problems as a seller. I'm really curious to know WHY ebay would send emails to those that bid on your items, or anything else for that matter. Please fill us in an the particulars to your situation, inquiring minds want to know!!!
