Dear Sir/Madam,

I changed oil at Economy Lube in Mississauga store(7091 Hurontario st) in Jul 6th 2013. After service, it was ok for me to drive my vehicle. But last Wednesday evening (Aug 28th 2013), when I drove it on the QEW, I heard something dropped off and then around 10 mins later my vehicle became slower and slower.

 

I had to stop it on the highway emergency road side where closed to Trafalgar Exit. The tow driver came and tow my vehicle to Medavale Toyota dealer which my mechanic works there. In the meanwhile, the tow driver helped me see the bottom when we were still on the highway roadside and found the drain plug missed. He told me the reason should be the oil change service issue that the mechanic didn't assemble the plug properly and caused it became looser and looser, and finally dropped off.

 

I told reason which tow driver told me to my mechanic, and he said he will do the check in the next day.

 

My mechanic checked it for me and gave me the report by last Thursday, and the reason is the same that the drain plug missed. After that, I called Economy lube that due their wrong service caused my engine dead and asked them for the compensation.

 

The branch manager got my vin number, my plate number info and said he will call the vice president. In the afternoon, he called me that he will send some employee to the Medavale Toyota dealer to check my vehicle.

 

After 4:00pm, I called my mechanic asked if they already came and my mechanic told me they came and checked the vehicle and report. But they said the fix price is too high and they didn't want to pay it.

 

I called the manager again and he just let me wait. I was waiting until around 5:00pm, and I still didn't get any feedback, so I called their vp: Chris. He told me he knew my case, but he didn't want to pay it since my mechanic said the tow driver touched the drain plug. I was shocked and told him why tow driver need to touch my vehicle, he just tow my vehicle to that dealer. I tried let the vp know tow driver didn't touch my car and the mechanic was misunderstood me if he says that.

 

Then I called my mechanic to ask what happened for the tow driver. He told me the report reason is clear: "Car was missing oil drain plug." but he mentioned tow driver is because I said the plug loosen, so he guess the driver took the plug.

 

I asked my mechanic to change the report because the truth is tow driver never touched my vehicle and he just saw the plug missed and told me the reason should be the plug loosen and cause to miss.

 

I called vp again said I asked the mechanic to modify the report since the truth is tow driver never touched my vehicle, and my vehicle damage is caused by incorrect assembly when doing the oil change and caused the drain plug missed.

 

VP Gave Me a Very Unbelievable Reason. He told me it is your engine seized and it's nothing along with the oil change, and we cannot pay it. I was crazy and I tried to let him know my engine dead is because the drain plug missed and cause there has no oil and lubrication.

 

But he still said it is not oil problem, it is your engine problem. I was totally angry. I told him I will report it to BBB. He said go ahead, and I don't care. After last word, he hang up the phone.

So in this case, I write this complaint and I hope BBB can help me solve this problem and hope BBB can let him care it.
