My colleague at work, had her shoe heel repair done here, couple months back. The very same day that she got it repaired it broke. The quality of work is so poor. When she went back to them, asking them to refund her the money, she was literally humiliated in front of the crowd and asked to leave. The owner made it sound as if it was her mistake and he can't do anything, but the way he said, was so humiliating.

Another of my colleague went there last week and she gave them four pair of shoes to repair. She made the payment due. When she went there to collect her shoes, the owner said that she will have to pay for the repair work. When told that she already had paid, the owner rudely said, if it was paid the receipt would have been stamped. Lucky her, she had made the payment using credit card receipt. She got her receipt and I went with her to talk with the guy. The guy was so rude, that he made her feel that she was trying to get a free service, and humiliated her in front of the crowd.

As I had heard about this place before, I personally wanted to go and see what all the fuss was about. When we went there he didn't not apologize at all for his mistake. He started explaining her procedure and told her, she should have asked to get the receipt stamped. When I asked him how can he expect a consumer to know the in house rules, he picked up a fight with me, humiliating me and using abusive language, asking me get out!

This place has no customer service, poor quality of work and rude BOSS!! I would never ever go there, just wanted all the other out there to know about this and be aware of him and his business practices.

needing to drop off shoes for repair and not knowing what time they closed i googled eddies and came across this complaint from 2006, to say i am shocked would be an understatement...hence me writing this in their defense. i have been going to eddies for over 5 years and everytime i go in, the manager always smiles, reaches across to shake my hand and says hello. not only do i find them to be a very efficient operation, they are also very good at what they do. and yes, they are a bit pricey but my babies (aka shoes) always come back safe and sound and in amazing condition!! that said, in all the times i've been there, waiting in line or getting a shine, i've never seen one remotely upset person. i'm not sure what went down with the above people but i'm actually sorry and shocked to know they had such a bad experience, i would and do recommend this place to everyone looking for a repair place in midtown.
