Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Eddies Towing, AKA Picacho Peak Garage, AKA Marana Tire Shop. Owners Emil, and Anita Martan.

These people have been in the business of cheating and stealing from people for MANY years. This includes customers, contractees, AND employees. They have a very well established system of keeping double books, overcharging customers, stealing customers property, falsifying documents, underpaying employees, actually STEALING cars, over billing their contractees, etc. How do I know these things? First off I am a victim of theirs to the tune of over $6000! Second, and perhaps even more compelling, I worked for them for a number of years!. During my tenure, I repeatedly witnessed ALL of the above behaviors. Occasionally, I questioned them, to no avail, but for the most part I turned a blind eye. I suppose my own punishment for doing so was falling victim to them myself as previously stated. I will bear that cross and shame. However, I am writing this report, NOT to hurt them, but rather to help prevent others from falling victim to these shameless predators. Most of us know that the towing and recovery business has a stigma attached to it. A well deserved one unfortunately. Now Im sure that there are honest towing operators out there, and its too bad that the others have spoiled it for them. Eddies Towing however is BAD NEWS, and they WILL rip you off any, and EVERY way that they can, ANY time that they can. Other Towing outfits that practiced similar bad business have been taken down by the authorities here. I hope that Eddies soon shares a similar fate. If you are someone that is considering doing business with these people, I hope this report will save you a lot of trouble. If you are one of the many who has been victimized by these monsters, then please post your experience here for others to see.

I have known Anita Martan my whole life, she is my aunt. Anita and Emil are very honest people and have been in business for many years. I too am a business owner and I can tell you that you cannot please everybody everytime. This is an obvious disgruntled employee. If what you claim has any validity why not post your name? Could it be that your reputation would negate all you have said? You claim they have been ripping people off for years yet you turned a blind eye? That would make you an accomplice. Sounds more like you got the boot after ripping them off and to retaliate you are trying to project your lifestyle onto them, classic behavior of the guilty. Loretta

It would seem to me that the biggest problem with Eddies Towing is having an unscrupulous employee like you around for a number of years. It sounds like you were satisfied with your job until you terminated your employment for whatever reason. I would think that a very reputable company like Eddies Towing may want to investigate your motives and also call into question your work ethic if indeed any unscrupulous activities have taken place, since as a whole my investigation shows that this is a very well respected business. If you had information of wrongdoing you should have brought these matters to light immediately. Your failure to do so lends little weight to your credibility & speaks volumes of your character. I feel that you are an angry, disgruntled employee who is trying to harm the reputation of an honest business. Shame on you!!! Why would you pursue a career in an industry with a well deserved stigma attached to it? Perhaps another insight to your motives and character, in my opinion. I am not aware of this stigma which you speak of as each time I have needed a wrecker I received prompt, honest fair treatment. I hate to see one angry individual try to taint an entire industry, in particular one small business within this industry which has a reputation for excellence. I hope you can move forward with God's blessings. All of you hones wrecker drivers KEEP ON HOOKING!!!!!!

I had to re-read the original post three times before registering what the poster was accusing Emil and Anita of. I have known the Martans for 11 years. Having met them first as a customer, then aquiring them as friends, I can honestly say that the original poster is simply a disgruntled ex employee who is only trying to hurt two of the most honest, genuine and respectable people for reasons unbeknownst to me. Emil is a kind, generous man who is willing to help at a moments notice, any time day or night. Anita is a sweet, kind woman who would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it, not thinking of her own comfort for a minute. Their children were raised to be honest, hardworking, and kind people, surely that is a character reference in itself. Eddies Towing is my only recommendation to people if they need towing services of any kind. The employees of the company are always clean, respectable and efficient. I have been towed twice, had them get my keys out of my car and on one occasion, Emil himself brought me gas at no extra charge (before I was aquainted with the Martan family as a friend). They go above and beyond the call of duty to help their community. In fact, anyone from their community knows the family by name and has the utmost respect for them. My only question to the original poster is this: If you had a tenure at the company, why did you put up with these alleged claims for that long? Surely if the company is as crooked as you say, you wouldn't have stayed as long as you did. Please, take my word, Eddie's Towing is a good company, and Emil and Anita are wonderful people. Give them a try, you wont regret it!

I was blown away by the false acuasations displayed in this report. As a past employee of Eddies Towing, I know that these claims are false. My experience with Emil and Anita of Eddies towing was one of respect and honesty. These people are good honest christians struggling in a very difficult industry. They live a modest existance in a very average community and drive modest automobiles. The reason they live this modest existance is due to their generosity towards their staff. I understand that Eddies Towing was awarded a prestigious AAA contractor of the year award a number of times. They hold numerous police towing contracts that are closely audited by presiding police agencies. This person is taking a huge risk posting lies about good people. Even if these claims were true, why would this person "turn a blind eye" to what was going on. That would make this person equally guilty, and these claims are not minor by any definition. I hope I put a little balance in justice for the good people at Eddies Towing.
