Signed one year karate contract, 12 payments of $79 first due 9/1/07, final due 8/1/08. Payment by automatic withdrawal. Notified studio in July that we were not renewing. On 9/23/08 Educational funding made an additional withdrawal past the contract completion date. Notified karate studio IIMA (International Institute of Martial Arts, San Marcos, CA) of error, studio refunded $79. We put a block on automatic withdrawal.

10/23/08 Educational funding attempted to make another withdrawal and then began sending us delinquent notices. Called Educational Funding, they claimed we had a new longer contract (which we never authorized) and threatened unspecified actions if we didn't pay. They claimed that challenging them would cost us a lot more than just paying them what they wanted. IIMA does not respond to phone calls and emails.
