Edward Humphrey is a CON man. He took my money, did work that he didn't have permits for, destroyed my property and won't refund deposits for other work contracted. He has many many claims against him. If he did this to you you are not alone. His house has been cleaned out, his business office empty, his vendors aren't paid and even his landlord is looking for him!! My name & number are on a list complied by Humprey as people who owe him money. I've been getting phone calls from other people he's done this to. I encourage eveyone that this has happened to to go to your local police and file charges now. This man must be stopped!!

This is in response to all posted comments on this website. I would be more than happy to discuss with any valid client that had contract with my company over two years ago a resolution. I have not had 1 opportunity to talk or discuss the events that had occurred May-July 2005. I would be more than happy to discuss the actual issues and the pending contracts that were in place at that time. I have started resolving substantial valid refund issues with clients, payments restructured over a set monthly time frame. I feel that this website has been utilized for homeowners to vent their frustration, which I completely understand. After two years of nothing being resolved I am ready to reach out and give the homeowners an opportunity for me to make the situation whole again. Anyone who had a valid contract that would like to contact me can through our web address [email protected] I would like to put this behind me as much as the homeowner does. Please don't hesitate to contact me. Edward Humphrey

Just a little update from my post and Mr. humphrey's rebuttal. Yes he did put a new roof on my house. His sub contractors, who I don't even have a name for, also left half of the old roof in my yard and torn so much of the old cedar siding off I had to board up my attic from the inside. RESULT - nails through our shoes, a nail through my dog's paw and hundreds of dollars in clean up costs. He still hasn't put the gutters, which I paid for, on my house. As for the cement his sub contractor did...not bad except for the old fence he didn't remove before laying the sidewalk. I actually spoke with and wrote a note to the subcontract not to do what he did. There the fence stands, warped & bolted closed- Result - $1900 to take out the old fence & surrounding cement. By the way the subcontractor who did this- be prepared - your also included in the lawsuit since you also refused to correct the problem. Now for the big one. THE WINDOWS. These were not subcontracted, They were done by his own employees. Not one of the windows fits properly. ALL are out of square, warped, 2 still sitting in my garage. They literally RIPPED the old windows, shoved the new in. When the kitchen window was installed, the worker stood in my sink and everything collapsed. The sink, pipes all the way to the basement- needed replacing. The counter and cabinets are barely holding in place - I can't open the doors. RESULT -I have to get all new windows and have the framing replaced along with 2 headers. The kitchen sink, cabinets, counter top - $5,000 estimate to repair. Windows repaired & replaced- estimated $6,000. Add all this to the $4,000 deposit for the siding and $5,000 deposit for the bathroom Mr. Humprhey owes ME almost $18,000 plus more which I haven't mentioned. His certified release form he sent me was such a joke, that my lawyer and I couldn't stop laughing. He wanted me to sign a release to accept $5000 and stop all civil & criminal actions. To this date he has not refunded anything, which he claims he has. Now REBUTTAL this ED.

#6REBUTTAL Owner of company

We did this home owners roof, Concrete patio and sidewalks, We installed her windows. There are three more in our warehouse which belong to her. We tried to coordinate to have the carpenters take care of several items but we could only go there 6 pm at night. At this present time we canceled the bathrrom contract and we are forwarding this homeowner a refund. All the items she wrote about vendors,etc....I would like to know when she became our bookkeeper and has personal insight into our company. I built over 10 million in projects in the past three years. You don't get to that point unless you pay bills I also fired a disgruntled employee who had access to a quickbooks report which listed all monies owed on completed/in progress jobs. She called every one out of spite, Later to find out her husband was a contractor and they were stealing jobs from us. . This unfortunate job was one that fell through the cracks. But it is being handled with an amicable resolution.
