Once youre signed up, you stuck here.

What they'll do is offer you some account credit, and a free trial. Once the trial ends, they will automatically start billing. All the usual stuff.

How they scam you is:

When you manage to eventually hunt down the cancelation method (www.j2.com/cancel) or (www.efax.com/cancel).

You will be connected to an opperator via online chat.

Do your usual request for cancellation. They will process and say the following:"Your eFax account will be credited with CAD$36.00 so that you may utilize our services without being billed our monthly fee for the next two billing cycles.

Since you will not be charged any monthly fees for the next two months you may keep the account till then. If at all you find that you need our services during this period, then you will still have the account. If however, you still feel that you do not have any use for our services by the end of the two months credit period, then you can always contact us back anytime. "

What this means is that....If you don't phone them back after 2Months, they will start their billing cycle again, and bill you for the previous 2 months asswell.

If you phone one day late, they would have billed and respond: "There is no refund applicable for this offer."

THE SOLUTION:

Insist that they set your account to close automatically at the end of 2 months credit period. I didnt realise this was an option, and have been paying for this service for 7 Months, and have never used it.
